Great job on the smarty. You have an impecable reputaion on the TDR. This is not criticism, so please don't take it that way. But what happened to the RPM's? Is it going to be an update at a later time? Is it even possible When I read that it was not a feature on the Smarty, I heard 3rd gen pullers hearts breaking.

Marco, I noticed all the test trucks had the FASS system. What is a safe setting with a completely stock truck?

Marco/Bob, I heard the HP numbers were down when pulling the third shot off of the 04. 5 trucks and above. Will there be a setting to pull the third shot off for trucks that want fuel economy and less smoke? Also, level 0 says half power. Is that for trucks with huge injectors or is this a misprint, Thanks, Richard.

as long as smarty can read your ecm information you should be good to go. If you have issues due to a BDDL and a check engine light then its a different situation.

I had a Bully Dog Triple Dog that I traded away. I obviously had to return to stock before it would work for the person who is using it now.



Anyway, the Smarty downloaded and works great! Quick downloads, and loads more power than the BDDL.

I'd like to point out that the 03 produced 130Hp more @ 30 Psi of boost while the 04. 5 produced 170 hp more @ 40! Psi. Does that tell you something?

Diesel power for beginners.

Add fuel, add air. Then add more fuel and more air... . Fuel alone is not enough, you need AIR to burn it. In all evidence 30 Psi is less air than 40 Psi.

The way I read it, the 03's need to push more air, not fuel. IIRC, the 04. 5 has a higher wastegate setting than the 03-04 from the factory.
