I have one and HOLY ****! WOOOOOW!

Yep :D

I got to use one on loan this evening at the drag strip :--)

with my TST and EZ stack I was running 15. 1

Upload Smarty and turn off TST and EZ = 14. 43

next run was 14. 31, my previous best ever was 14. 41 but was unable to do it again last weekend or tonight.

So the next round I decided to add a little TST into the mix, 2X5 (single program)

Pulled off a 13. 949

next run, backed it with a 13. 950 Oo.

this ain't no built auto, 6sp with 35" tires wieghing in at 8400 lbs :D

Simple question. I hope I'm not asking too much here as I could not find the answer to this on the Smarty or the vendor websites. I asked this a few posts up but no answer.

How do you change power levels?

Corey,

If you do the math the 13. 9 runs are around 611HP

Previous best 14. 41 would be some where around 550hp

I am curious if you had ever dyno'd your truck to have a baseline of what you had been running.

I am saving up my Bomb funds for a Smarty... .

You cannot change HP levels on the fly. You need to download new/different software. I like my Smarty on 60HP without timing and use the TST to dial in more power when I want it.

simple 2 minute ecm tune and you are done. smarty plugs into the obdII port and is undetectable when removed

no need to disconnect, try smarty alone to start

I picked mine up at the post office this morning. Tried level 1 for starters.
Wow! is that skinny peddle responsive now. I was grinning really big:D.
Tried level 3 just to see, my rear tires are not long for this world. I can do donuts like a nascar veteran now! I have the edge on "0" stock setting and am using the A2 for the guages. My auto is stock so I have to take it semi easy but man is this thing fun!. Thanks Bob, Marco, and the whole Mads Electronics group! This is one fun birthday present!

Hey Marco,

Would you be willing to tell us the maxium amount of timing that's been added on the programs with timing? The no timing option is great, but I want some Smarty timing magic on my stack. :)

Thanks!

The mail man just came. Very nice packaging. I drive arround on level 5/4 tst so I just turned the tst off and loaded sw #9. In a few mins I was on the road enjoying 12V throttle responce. The truck runs great on sw #9 with power close to tst 5/4 but lower EGTs. It's 99*F with a 72* dew point here so I'm running the A/C and the truck is as strong as the tst with the A/C off. When I flipped the switch on the va3. 1 the truck just ripped. Leaving the transmission in drive it pulled hard to 3400 rpm when it shifted to O/D. It used to die at 3200 and I had to flip a switch to make it shift to O/D before Smarty. It is hot here and my truck cooled down quicker than it would before Smarty. I like the Smartys timing curve better than the tst.

If you only did one mod to your truck this is it. This one was worth the wait.

Great job folks

The same setting that netted my 14. 41 run was 514 on a mustang dyno set at 10k load.

Thanks. Sounds good.

Well I started with sw 9 and now I,m at sw 4 and a little tst. No problem changing sws. Just takes a few mins. Got to the strip a little late last night and made a 13. 20@102. 5 pass and got myself into a grudge race with a powertstoke that ran a 13. teen earler. My truck has been running 13. 4s lately. I cut him down at the tree and ran a 13. 19. I didn't have time for another run and both runs were at the same setting and a bit softer launch than usual. Looks like I can make consistant runs with Smarty.

60 Hp

Bob Wagner said:
Well the 60 HP program yielded better mileage gain .

stock mpg towing total 17K 11. 2mpg

60HP program 14. 7 mpg

30 HP program 12. 9 mpg also running high speed

egt reduced 100F+ over stock

Bob,

Which one ?

SW # 2 : 60hp increase, no added timing.

or

SW # 3 : 60hp increase, with added timing.
