Two years ago... my '94 160hp pump and tight torque convertor didn't like running without a plate and AFC when hooked to a weight transfer sled. It bucked like a mechanical bull unless I babied the throttle... (That was with cut dv's. A week after that... I swapped in '022' dv's and it still bucked... )



Oddly enough... I'm running plateless these days (with an AFC and 131 dv's) and I can boost launch it in 4x4 at 15psi and it doesn't buck at all. I think the truck is just afraid of making a hook... :-laf
