RDodd, I am planning on traveling out that way in October. Where in Iowa are you at, according to mapquest its about 350 miles from Fairfield Ia. Maybe we can convoy out or back ;)

Michael

We can find a place for you to park a TT or motor home. There isn't any hook ups.

Any one planing on bring a TT or motor home let us know in advance so we can see how many to figure out how big of area to mow.

Anyone wanting to tent. Jeremy has a small pond to camp around.

Hi Fellas,

I am a little slow on figuring out that there are now a bunch of 1st gens coming to my housing in a month and a half :{ Sorry I haven't jumped in sooner, work has been kind of busy. If you guys have a TT or camper, I am sure we can find a level spot to put it. Sorry, no hookups. I will have the shop cleaned up. Between Philip and I, we have all of the tools needed to fabricate a 1st gen from a bicycle wheel, lawn chair, and three pieces from a Dodge Neon. Like Philip said, just bring parts. Napa closes at 3 pm on Saturdays.

I am looking forward to everyone coming out again. It as a hoot last year. Just have to have GL leave that underpistoned JD tractor at the local salvage yard. :D Any questons, drop me a PM or e-mail.

Jeremy

Hey Philip, what are diesel prices in Indiana compared to Illinios? Illinios is more expensive then Iowa. I'm wondering if I should load enough fuel up to make the trip to Peru and back, or just not buy any in Illinios. If Indiana is cheaper I can make it there.

I hope we get a little relief before october. I know, I know, not likely.

Michael

I filled up tonight at $2. 73.

I never buy fuel in Illinois for any reason. I don't buy smokes there eather. I do use the rest rooms and thats about it.

I know what you mean. I have a 2k trip to make this coming weekend.

I'm excited. Looks like both trucks will be ready to make the trip.

Michael, give me some idea what it is you want me to do and so I can plan for it in terms of time and tools. Shoot me a PM some time.

Philip, what am I bringing along in terms of food/tablewear? I'll be there Friday afternoon. Weather permiting, will we have a camp fire friday night?

GL

Scott,

I haven't talked to Philip yet, but my better half suggested going to town on Friday night and getting pizza. We can have a camp fire afterwords. I will talk to Philip this weekend as we are going to TX because I am getting a new (only 183K miles) W-350. We will get it all figured out and let you know. I am sure we will be having a camp fire on Saturday night with chili or ham and beans. Hope everyone can make it.

Anyone know if there are any crazy Canuks comming?

Jeremy

Scott, bring your pump wrench, I'm having a hard time finding a snap-on man with one in stock:mad:. I'd like to put the KTA pump on there. I should be able to handle it myself, of course with the rest of the TDR gang to pitch in. But I don't wanna take you away from Michael's pump.

I'm gonna try to get that Friday off so I can get up there Friday evening. Too bad the 1st gen house can't make it :( .

ROLL CALL, who all is coming??

Edit: GL, the spring is yours. I got the pump wrench now.

got the ole 93 running again

hello all. i finnally got my 93 back from the shop. and so far it is running great. i posted back in april that i bought this truck out of texas and when i got it the rear oil seal was leaking, come to find out that the rear thrust bearing was laying in the pan, and the crank had about a 1/2 inch play front to back. the guy i bought it off of said it was in a little fender bender and he repaired it all, well it was more than a little fender bender, i had to put in a new radiator in it also. the guy i had fix it did a good job, and the price was good. hey phil sorry for not contacting you back when you sent me your message i havent been online in a while call me and i will run your manual back to you. as soon as i get some new pics of the dodge i will post them

I can't imagine Scott and I will spend a whole lot of time on my pump. We're just going to make some adjustments, and of course a few test drives. Bill, I know it will be very detrimental to me, but I'd like to ride in your truck after the big pump gets put on. Or are you going to baby it for a while?

Jeremy, what kinda supplies, food, should I bring? I'm hoping to get there Friday night. We'll see though.

Michael

I am furnishing the hamburger and hot dogs and the toppings. I asked Scott to bring chips.

Michael if you want to bring some soft drinks that would work. Like Scott you have a long drive to make and its a pain to bring something that needs a lot of cooling.

Here is a link to a map- http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.ad... 400 E Peru, IN 46970-8568, US&cid=lfmaplink2

Our place is actually the long drive just north of the red star (still first place on west side of road if you're coming from the south, last place if you're coming from the north) Let us know if you need more than the map.

We'll have signs out this year.

Food needs: Breakfast on Sat (if anyone wants it)

Lunch on Sat- Sounds like we have Hamburgers & Chips- bring whatever else you want

Sat eve- campfire -probably chili and cornbread- bring anything complementary.

We're going to ask that everyone takes it easy on the alcohol- we want this weekend to be safe and for everyone to make it back home safely! Besides you're spending enough money on fuel!

Thanks

Michelle (Jeremy's better half)
