When I was in North Dakota, and subsequently went to school in Minnesota, I drove a 1978 Ford Fairmont. Inline 6, 200 cu in, manual transmission; two wheel drive, traditional rear differential. Did have a block heater. Drove that thing all over the place, never slid off the road in the winter. Paint oxidized away far too early. Float in the 1 bbl carb decided to not float; only thing that went wrong in the twelve years I had it. Doing your own maintenance was amazingly easy (in comparison to today).

Whatever I do, he'll be quite a bit better off than I was.

AWD Charger.

Mercedes design
Production since 2004
Fully independent suspension
4-whl disc brakes
Fleet car: fix anywhere by anyone
120” WB
4,000-lbs
Rack & pinion

Bigger isn’t safer. Can’t maneuver. There’s a reason this car type is classic as to specs. Nothing else works as well.

Pickups roll over. An empty bed pickup is just asking for trouble.
