I need a new TV

The other R/C truck thread reminded me of a question I wanted to ask you guys. Does anyone have a desktop r/c model? Not a truck built around being R/C, but a model truck that happens to be radio controlled?

I bought a mag at the hobby shop one time about miniature R/C vehicles. This one I saw was a Scania (Swedish) truck with trailer, about 7 inches long total length. It was blue, detailed down to working turn signals and headlights, backup lights, etc. It cost about $200, was Japanese made, and is mostly for display, but can be controlled by radio transmitter if needed.

I am not going to get one, unless I win the lottery. I am probably going to get another helicopter, but this time a small electric for indoor flying. Something like this or similar: http://www.helihobby.com/html/hummingbird__products.html

I am going to the hobby shop tomorrow before the RMTDR party, maybe I will get a new magazine.

I have always wanted a RC heli, so many choices. The electric seems pretty cool as it is much cheaper and ready to use. Which one would you reconmend? There are quite a few options on that page.

I am still deciding also on which one to get. I have a Thunder Tiger Raptor, which is a glow engine, . 36 size, about 36" rotor diameter. I am ok at it, still learning. I would like a cheaper electric heli for indoors in the winter.

I have been reading up on www.rotory.com about the Dragonfly and Hummingbird. These are fixed collective pitch, in other words, the main rotor pitch does not move (collect) with throttle increase. You control height with throttle only. In the more expensive (all gas, glow, bigger electrics) the collective in increased with throttle increase.

They are around $250 for a complete setup, micro servos, radio, motor, etc.
