It was so cold here ...

Young Kids Tick Me Off Sometimes.

That said let me explain: Got up this morning a little after 9:00. the kids are out of school today and I don't have to be at work until 2:00pm. Nice day sun shining slight breeze. Go out pick up the paper and then I see it. Some spineless twerp egged the side of my truck with three eggs. The eggs wash off. But each place where the egg hit you can see tiny chips in the paint in a circular pattern as the shell crushed against it. I want to know why the picked on me, I actually have been on good behavour lately. If someone has a problem with me come to me we will get it solved. When you ask for somehelp Quote form the Sheriff " they hit a lot of truck last night, I am in a hurry see you later" You try to keep something nice and the twerps of the world won't let you.

I had a new black Ford Lightning only two weeks, and parked it in the grocery store lot, about 30 yards from anyone else. I only took up one parking space, and wasnt even in my neighborhood. So, nobody knew me, or my profession. Well, school let out, and a bus load of kids were let out near the truck. I came out of the stor about 10 minutes later and I had a three foot key mark down one side, down to the metal. I know how you feel. If I had caught them, they definately would have gone to jail, and Mommy and Daddy would be paying for a new paint job, as well as a lawyer.

I got egged driving out of the "city" on my way home from work about two weeks ago. Being late and cold, I left it go until the next day so I could wash it. Man, eggs don't come off easy do they? I too lost some paint off my hood.

The sad part about was this happened maybe a day or so after a kid was arrested for chucking a chunk of ice off a bridge and killing a young wife and mother.

It was only an egg but if I was Dirty Harry, this twerp might be pushing daisies. It works both ways. But, being whom I am, I brushed it off as being what one could expect from the area I was in and the ethnic makeup within and just got the heck out of there.

i bought my truck from a dealer in Bakersfield ca, that night i stayed at my uncles house for the 4 th of July. came out in the morn to get the newspaper and saw my dream truck nailed by 4-5 eggs. i spent 3-4 hour scrubbing it off. the hardest part of cleaning was between the cab and the bed (got the worst of it). like you i have shattered paint where they hit. so far three years later the marks don't look any different. i was one of 20 or so vehicle nailed that night. ken

Could have been worse. Some kids where I live got caught chunking watermelons at parked cars from the back of a pickup going 60 mph...

I got hit by some eggs too last year parked in front of my house. I have the circle of chips just like yours.

If I find out who did it there will be a fight, I do not let things go, ever.

What goes around comes around

Be sure they will get theirs. Every stunt I ever pulled came back and got me later.

It's happened to me, probably happened to you, and you know it's going to happen to them as well.

Rest easy

Ok folks - don't get P_____o'd BUT

It's a truck - NOT A PIECE OF FURNITURE. This stuff is going to happen - and well nobody takes much better care of their truck mechanically than me - BUT the little things like appearance - FORGET'about IT! I had an old coal miner once tell me - Look I Own my rig - IT DOESN't own me! My Opinion... .....

Hammersly

You are right it is just a truck. But I have right to put every scratch, ding or dent in it myself, not some twerp. I had the truck less than a week when I caught a sign that was sticking out into the parking slot. And there are some dings in the rear fender well inside the bed, when a winch bounced against it. But I paid for the right to do it to my truck!!!

tbol

I know - it kills you when this happens - but we have to live with this pointless crap. My only point was - don't let it eat you up - or have it cause you more grief that it's worth. I've seem folks turn a minor problem into a major one with kids knowing where you live - so that revenge becaomes a game with them, and then one thing leads to another, and well, things can get out of hand... . And I don't mean that this would happen to you, but there are a lot of WHACK - O's out there!!!!!

Payback story

About 6 years ago I worked at Lake Mead in Nevada. Cars that broke down along the road would have their windows busted out sometime during the night. Well I guess they did it to the wrong bunch one time.

We got a report of a car on fire on night, and responded. It turned out that these 4 kids decided to bust some windows out of a "broken down" car. As they were throwing rocks, about 6 to 8 guys started smashing the pucks' car, a newer Honda Prelude with a lot of $'s in it. The pucks got their butts beat pretty good and their Prelude burned up. Their Prelude also matched the discription from other window smashing.

Maybe they will think twice about it next time. Payback is a b%$ch.

Do what I do. Pray for them and ask God to give them what they deserve, good or bad. Dont forget to mention Jane (Hanoi) Fonda, she has been having a lot of problems lately... Prayers do get answered.

While back, a jackass here at the college where I live got jelous of my rig. Just for spite, he keyed it, all down the bed on the driver's side. But this story has a funny ending.

The next day I found out who it was because he was trying to do it again! This time, I had a video camera set up in my window facing the truck. Later that night, I called a friend who owns a tow truck. He came and we towed his car to a vacant lot, where we preceded to remove all the tires. We then set the tires underneath his axles, and dropped the car. Oh, and it required a trip to a local shop because it ran terribly. I guess a few crossed spark plug wires and a bottle of ATF in the gas tank would do that :p. As if that wasn't bad enough, after he got it running, we had it towed to the police impound :-laf. The best part of the deal, was that a police dog alerted on the car. After searching, they found heroin in the car ! We never saw him again :-laf.

Never mess with a mans truck, 'specially mine. My paybacks are hell, though I try not to cause (permanent) damage.

There is a definate lack of respect in the kids that do this kind of crap, I will give them a lesson if they need it. Forgive and forget? Never. Maybe a solid arse whoopin is all that it will take to put one of them on the right track, you can bet your last dollar that if mom and dad had had the courage to teach them respect this crap would not happen.

How about the little freak chooch that launched the rock off the over pass onto my hood and into my windshield a couple years ago? Sort of makes you appreciate those nice, soft eggs! Had I caught the beggar, him and his daddy would have been in some way deep fertilizer. As it is, I spent an hour waiting for the law to make the show (not their problem, my luck they were deep into multiple calls at that time). By then, my personal hoodlum had probably graduated from college and was now one of us respectable citizens. Sort of makes me think of the few hundred snowballs and eggs that formerly occupied my throwing hand at one time..... ahhh youth! It is true what they say, paybacks are a, well, you know. 'least I never tried to kill a motorist though.

I agree.

Spare the rod, and spoil the child.

Or, as the Good Book also tells us... Eye for an eye tooth for a tooth.

My rig got egged last summer. the nigh before school started. I know who did it, now I am just waiting...

I dont get mad, I get even. I never did crap like that when I was a kid, never. They will get it, then I will forgive.

When I was young, I always operated on the philosophy that it wasn't the poor car's fault it belonged to a horse butt. :D Pretty much the ultimate act of cowardice is to kick a man's dog or mess with his truck... .

I've had my truck parked on the street for 3 years, with no problems. And it's a neighborhood full of kids. Maybe they're nice kids, or maybe it's all the times they just happened to see me as I loaded the truck with ammo and semi-automatics and headed off for target practice in the mountains. :D Naw, the kids in our area all like me and stop to visit if they see me out in the front yard or working on the truck. :D

Eggs today, WHOLE ears of corn tomorrow, by the end of the week, cylinder heads and wheels thrown off of I-80 bridge nearby.

It happened about 10 miles from here.

A crime is a crime, no matter how small, and must be punished.

Especially when it is minors.

Aw, come on snowracer, I'm not that bad :D. The guy brought it upon himself. Especially the heroin. If I'd know about that, I'd have never touched the car. That guy had been bugging me for a while. He deserved it.

Pranks are fun. The crossed spark plug wires, atf in the fuel tank and wheels under the axle have all been done to me in the past when I owned my chevy in high school. It was fun trying to figure out a way to one up the guy who did it.

But when it comes to intentional damage, i really tend to get P/Od and begin to take drastic measures. As for the guy in jail, I suppose I could have gone too far, but to key a mans truck... TWICE !
