Here is where I'm confused..... You buy the 2 harnesses from LMC. 1 harness powers the low beams and 1 powers the high beams... so each harness has enuf wire to go across the truck to the other light ?
interesting. this is what i originally thought on how they were supposed to go. but then, when trying to figure out why the LMC harnesses are different P/N (my initial observations in Post #85 above), i thought i found the reason, and that is the wiring on the 9004 and 9007 bulbs are different, matching my harness difference. this, if true, would then suggest that the harnesses get installed like i currently have them - where one harness fires the 9004s, and the other fires the 9007s, necessitating that they have to cross over side to side. it seemed to make sense, given how long the harness are. but then again, my light logic doesn't seem quite right either.
i'm wondering if I really only need two of the same P/N and hook it up like yours? i may have spring for another $40 and try it.
Here is where I am at right now. I was going to order another 9505 harness but have not yet. I decided to buy the Daniel Stern kit (has not arrived yet) and am thinking I may rewire per his instructions so the lights work like the OEM Sport lights do. I think my LMC's are installed correctly as best as I can tell, and they just change the light logic to fire more of the filaments than OEM - this makes me a little nervous of having too bright of lights, where I would have to re-do it at a future date anyway. As far as power draw, yes, the lights w/ LMC harnesses draw a lot of juice, but you have like 6+ out the 8 filaments on. When I tested mine, I had my battery charger on... went from trickle charge to like 20 amps when I flipped the lights on![]()
No, not as of now.So you never resolved the issue related to switching to high beams and having to reset the relays "manually"?
FYI the box the LMC harness come in do indicate the bulb they are suppose to be plugged into. So you were correct in your installation based on that.
Yes. He responded the same day to my e-mail inquiry about purchasing his kit, I made payment, and now waiting for a box to show up.Have you actually contacted Dan Stern? I've sent emails and never get a response. MY NYS vehicle inspection is due to expire this month. I need to find solutions soon (right now, I just run with low beams).

The oem sports should power up 4 on hi beam 2 on low beam
Gary, where did you find the taillights you installed?
Thanks
