SPS 66...need info on surging

Out of curiosity, do the 64/14s whistle much at idle?

I now have a few miles on it and I'm noticing nothing but smooth driving and good response. I don't see what some people are talking about the surge you see in this turbo.

I don't know Jim, just ask Kretzer ( AKA Bandit1),. I have road in his truck and experienced his surge. I didn't keep track of what PSI and RPM it did it at, but know it did it with the converter locked.

I have a few things to get use to running this turbo as a single like the exhaust is louder as I run the 4" downpipe into a 5" exhaust and the turbo sings at say 6-14 psi and there is no doubt that the turbo noise is coming from my truck. I call it the here I am sound! There is no surge, might be because I have allot of filter, or cam, or head porting... . who knows. If you would have said my truck would run this good one a single years ago I would have said no way but I'm sold on it.



I have a few things in work for R&D, if it works out then I'll get to post some cool and different stuff for you guys, but it's going to be time driven, not something I have much of right now.
