Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) stacks

I am thinking about duel 6in. or 7in. stacks on my 1994. I have three vehicles and this truck is going to be more of a toy than the others. My question is for the people that have stacks on there trucks; are they very very loud, how is the drown on the freeway, and are there any other drawbacks? I have a 5in. turbo back with a muffler on my 2005 and it loud but almost no noise at cruise on the freeway, and I love it. Is anyone running the grand rock stacks with internal mufflers? Thanks for any info.

I have the Grandrock stacks but no mufflers... ... . the truck isn't any louder it's just exiting behind your head... ... windows up it's a bit louder but not bad. I have 5" so the drone isn't much but the bigger the pipe the more drone there is. You can put a resonator in to help with the drone. With the windows down..... forget about hearing anything but the song the engine is making..... for the most part.

I have 5 inch stacks & they aren't "very very loud", I'd just say "very loud".

They sound great but are a bit loud behind your head on. Especially with the windows opened. They are not bad on the open highway depending on the RPM your running.



I'm interested in what type of resonators or mufflers they make to put in short stacks? Anyone got info on this?
