Track Bars

I've 52,000 and just had the dealer install the 4th track bar on the truck! The stealer covered the first 2 replacements while the warrantee was in effect. The 3 bar failed at 52K and fortunately the stealer covered the repairs for a $25 "deductible". Not perfect, but still a bargain.

Speak to your regional service representative and plead your case!!

EMack, I think "no" is DC's current policy. I was told I was tolf 'no' on my hitch yesterday after spending 45 minutes in the garage with the bosos. They told me that the hitch is an accessory and I have to have a receipt for the cracked one to get it replaced. I told them it came on the truck as part of the trailer package to which they replied that the warranty on the truck expired in October. So much for that recall. I would think 1/4 inch would have you all over the road in that thing. Get yourself an adjustable end and tell DC to scr#w theirselves. To think I tried to order a 2003 A week ago. I must really be having senior moments bad. Welded the cracks and welded gussets to the sides. :-{}

Why waste time on an Chrystler tracbar. Get a Napa.

Next time I'm gonna get an adjustable bar. Heck of a lot cheaper and does work. I think Luke links is the place that has them.

The dealer is BSing you, if it is truely a recall it never ends no matter how old the truck nor if the owner isn't the original.

Same as what Illflem said. They can NOT deniy you recall work. I believe sometimes the recalls are mandated by organizations like NHSTA or feds. I'd go back and if they jerk you around again turn them in to the local Better buisness Bureau or something. I would also tell them to get on the phone and call DC or STAR hotline and see if headquarters also agrees they are exempt from doing recall work on your truck. Either these guys don't know thier a** from a hole in the ground or they just enjoy being a bunch of *ricks!!!:mad:
