Wow. I just went to the Summit Racing website. Yep, $299. 95! Turbo Back (full system?) for 1998 to 2002 Dodge Rams. Now that seems like a good price to me. Oo.

For anyone that cares, I called summit and this is what the guy on the phone told me.

Mandrel bent aluminized, 16ga tubing.

Turbo to tailpipe, including muffler. He didn't know what brand the muffler was.

I don't think the hangers and clamps are included tho. That the feeling I got from the email they sent me about it. If you guys want to hold on for a few days, I may have a group purchase deal on a complete 4" system, clamps and all, coming here shortly. if we put oue buying power together we might get a very good deal.

Glenn

Hmm. . even if the included muffler is a POS, one could buy a good one & not spend as much as some other systems. . not a bad deal.

The Part# is in the first post and is SUM-680001

On the summit page just paste it into the search. They don't have any pictures, just the item and a price listed.

I have seen one of these systems installed and it looked pretty good. The muffler looks like a large glass pack and is pretty loud, other than that it all fit good.

AFAIK, Jardine and Rip Rook both use a 16 gauge tubing.

Looks like a little competition for Jardine and Rip Rook since they seemed to have the least expensive exhaust until now... However, I would hear the Summit exhaust before buying because if you have to buy a new muffler, you might be close to the price of these two systems.

I have the Jardine and I love how quiet it is with a muffler and a resonator. I have not heard a Rip Rook so I can't comment.

I wonder if they'll be running a X-mas special?

Disclaimer: not affliated with any vendor.

They don't have a picture on the website yet, but if you have their printed catalog, it is in the "New Products" section at the upper left of Page 14. The "muffler" hardly looks like much more than a straight pipe :D

Summit Exhaust

BFC,,, if you get a group purchase deal let us know.

I just priced out system brand name " Flo Pro" anyone used it?

$450. 00 installed

Just installed a 4" system last weekend, (along with an AFe mega-cannon), using a Flow-Pro straight-thru muffler. Nice and deep tone, not excessively loud in the cab, (just deep). Can definitely be heard on the outside, though. Went together real easy. Used Stainless band clamps from Summit.
