I also have a suppressed Bull barrell . 22 and shooting Aguilla(sp?) powderless rounds sound like a BB gun unsuppressed but like a finger snap if suppressed. These are for varmint hunting in close quarters and have tiny bullets and only a primer to discharge. got a good group a 30ft though. They dont have enough power to cycle the bolt so have to hand extract/load between shots but was scary how quiet they were. regular (CCI) . 22 was half as loud as my pellet gun.
YUP - I have a Bull Barrel Ruger semi auto . 22, and out in the country before we moved here, I made a silencer out of a small engine (lawnmower) muffler that really worked quite well when shooting . 22 shorts. Didn't cycle the action well, but was about as loud as a finger snap, and great for thinning out the neighbors Peacocks he let run loose, and were eating our garden and flowers... :-laf:-laf
