Wade, I definitely want to catch up to you guys and meet everyone. I am not gonna be able to make it this time. I am deliverying fire wood. Any of you guys need to buy a cord or 2 or 3? ;) We can deliver about 3 maybe 4 cords at a time. Never been to Hooters yet either so that will be a worth while experience too. :D

well guys, i won't be there this sunday. i've got a trans to pull out for wade this weekend. takes 3. 5 hours on a rack. not sure how long it'll take lying on the ground. plus i don't live in mid tn. lol! and i don't have a drivers licence. everything will be in place by next year though and hopefully i'll be able to sneak away and get together with ya'll at one of your meetings. andy i'd love to have it on cd. talk to ya'll later, nick

Hey Nick!

What about Red's shop? I haven't talked to him yet, but I was thinking about using his place to put it in. On second thought, it might not be safe there!:D

Gap, wut about it. Reckon we could use your dad's place to do the transmission? It'll be three weeks from now before I'll have a weekend for it.

wade, that's sounds good to me. it's up to gap and red. won't take long on a lift. don't think that i have anything planned in 3 weeks??????? gap, wade, let me know. nick

Ya'll ain't going to believe this...

Gap and Red have been at Jackson Diesel all day doing pump and injector work. Yeah, you can BELIEVE that. Here's the odd part. Red's truck was running on_____ FIVE cylinders. :--)

That sucker is going to be STOUT on 6!:D

Nick, other than me getting called a @#!!$%# for buying the transmission before they did, :p we can use the shop for the swap.

wade, what the ----? only on five????? i haven't heard this yet? gap, what was going on? i'm not going to pull the trans out in my drive way if we can use your shop. i'd sure appreciate it. should be able to have it done in one day. wade, i'm not gonna buy the trans for a core. thought that maybe you'd give it to me. :) that's ok though. slowly getting all of my winter projects lined up. gonna have to stay a few steps ahead of red. :) gap get back with me on the atwood deal. i have some friends that are HUGE into pulling gas trucks that are thinking about purchasing a sled. there is a used one around west tn that they have the option to buy so that those of us who want to pull stock trucks will have a sled available without all of the bs associated with pulling stock trucks. they want to be sure that there are people who'd be interested them for renting a sled. it's a big investment. just putting feelers out you know... . nick

Directions to Hooters

It's easiest if you come in from 840. Take the Murfreesboro/Smyrna exit and go to Murfreesboro on Hwy 41/70s. 41/70s turns into Broad Street. Hooters is on Broad Street in front of Kmart and across from Taco Schmell.

Somebody that has a cell phone and will be there might post the number, for those directionally challenged ;) . I won't have one tomorrow.

I have 8-10 confirmed, so there might be 20-30 or 8-10. We'll see!

You don't want to get off 24 at exit 78 or 81, too much traffic and too many lights.

At Wade's request, here's a cell phone number. 615-210-1200. If you get lost, gimmie a shout. I'll try and guide you there. Or hand the phone to someone else and let them do it!

Red said shop is cool to use. Need to know a date so we can all hook up and make sure shop is cleared out.

I spent 1 1/2 days at jackson diesel. We got the pump on the bench and done the 4GSK. We started rev'n her up and scared the hell out of all of us. Blew a fuel line feeding the pump! We were squirting a few CC's! We were all pockey dotted from the fuel! I had Diesel on my teeth I was cheezing so hard! Loved it. Pulled the injectors and pop tested em. Found one that was not "popping". We all went googy eyed. We gotter fixed though. Can't wait to see what difference she makes. Pump is tweaked pretty wicked. I ain't gonna tell. We'll find out! Left some options open to change. Didn't go all out. Wanted to see how much turbo we already don't have... Got the 60lbs valve springs in along with the 4GSK, pump tweaked balanced to withing 1cc on all barrels. You can really turn the barrels, unbeknowing to me. Good stuff, make any 12 valver wanna faint.

Needless to say we found our fuel troubles. Earlier we found the Overflow valve was doing its job to well. Popping off at about 25lbs. Not now! :D We are about to the point of splitting barrels the pump guys said. He said, oh well, if we do. He has some bigger ones on the self! He has us figured already!

I holler at ya Nick about the sled. We definetely need to find one we can tune on.

Wade, I called barry, he never called back... . :(

Sorry I could't make it. I really wanted to and had planned too. Plans come up for the other half and I got stuck baby sitting today. I'll catch up with Andy at work.

Hasta,

Meeting!

Went great. Had 12 folks and 11 trucks.

When you don't show up, you get nominated to host the next meeting. Hey GAP! what are you doing on the second or third Saturday in January? We're counting on you to host that meeting. :D

Think we'll have another puller or two out of the bunch. Experienced drag-racer Allen was there. Maybe he'll help out us greenies.

I'll go ask Barry how much iron you guys should bring. ;)

Nick and I are still working on the transmission swap date. Nov 1,2 is the earliest.

Had one set of stacks in the lot.

Andy is the new Vice President.

And Thanks to everyone who showed up!

Just wanted to say Hello. I just bought my firt diesel around Thanksgiving, a 4-door 03 dually 4x4. I live in Winchester, TN and work in Chattanooga. I make the drive every day so if you see a big black dually with a 12" USMC sticker in the back window that's me.
