Me too!

I'm here. I live 9 miles south of Martin, TN, 47 miles north of Jackson in a tiny town called Sharon. I would have checked in sooner, but this is the first time I have EVER checked this forum.

Keep checking here, as it looks like we're trying to plan a TN get-together in late January!Oo.

Situated in Memphis at this date. Will retire 2003 and move to Lexington. South on 22 at Exit 108 off I 40. Will live real close to south entrance of Natchez State Park on hwy 114. :)

I'm a member in Ooltewah ,close to Chattanooga . I am in Crossville every weekend . Tell me about that Black Mountain thing ,where is it?:)

January "meeting" postponed because my truck is out of commission and I have conflicts.

And the dyno hasn't been set up.

Black Mountain is at Cynthiana, KY --north of Lexington.

There were some Diesel hot-rodders over here near me, but they blew up a (their own) Ford and got out of the business.

If I get my way I'll be going in July and coming back with STACKS!Oo.

Cool maybe we can meet one evening next week after I get off work. Would love to take a ride in your truck since its a 4x4 5spd with the Pac Brake. I'm considering a Pac Brake unless I can find a Jacobs @ same price or cheaper. Where did you get your pac brake? Did you install it yourself? If I got one could you possibly help me? LoL:D

Yeah I installed the Pacbrake myself. I bought it off of someone here on the Register. Installation is pretty easy only took about one hour. Hardest part was finding a place to put the switch in the cab. I like it and most people like the sound it makes.

Whatcha think about this snow? I have been riding around all day pulling cars out of ditches( and a Ford Truck;)

Cool well when I get my brake I'll give ya a holler.

Well see I'm working at Lebanon Auto Plaza as part of my college course and I left this morning between 9:30 and 10 to take a car to a customer in Smithville (Dekalb county) and bring her rental back and I didn't get back till like 3 this afternoon:eek:

Bout 1/2 way there it started snowing then let loose right as I rolled into Smithville. I left S'ville somewhere between 10:30 and 11 and didn't back to my truck till about 3PM. I called when I got to the ladies house to tell them it'd take me a while to get back, but when I called the 2nd time some guy answered saying they had shut down the dealership and even suggested I drive the rental home! :-laf

I finally got my truck and got home but that's a whole other story in the Other Forum:eek:

Who ordered the snow!

Wade are you responsible for this!!! :-laf

Just kid'n with ya man, but check it out we got some small mountains over here. :D

Hey guys!

Great weather ..... eh??????

My baby is in the garage until the roads clear.

I haven't been around for a while, but I am excited about the possibility of a get together and a chapter.

I know everyone is busy so lets all do a bit to make it happen.

Perhaps we should pick a date a little further out and spread some flyers and word of mouth to see if we can generate some interest.

Ideas? Maybe Cummins in Nashville or one of the other diesel shops would like to host a meeting?

There are a lot of trucks around the Robertson and Sumner county areas where I roam so there are quite a few potential members if we can figure out a way to get things up and running.

Lets hear some more feedback.

I tried the flier thing with my name and # attached. Nobody was even the least bit interested. :(

Oh well at least when I go up to KY I'm surrounded my Cummins enthuisiest's (sp is way off)

Got Smoke:

Where did you post the fliers?

There are certain places where I always see Cummins rigs such as Tractor Supply, Co - op, Wal-mart (as you know), and truck stop fuel pumps.

Most of the guys I speak with have never heard of TDR (I'm not sure some of them have computers) so I tell them about the web site so they can see for themselves.

I really need to place a TDR badge on my truck for additional attention.

I'm just tossing what few ideas my little brain can generate.

I hope each of you have a safe weekend.

Regards,

bmd

Hey guys! Are you aware of this TDR web site?

It is SETDR. Cover the southeast portion of the country. They have a open chat every night at 8 pm. central. At least the group is as close as local can get so to speak.

YEAH MAN, them commuters need a good crippling blast every now and again. Shows 'em that they still are city boys no matter HOW BIG the SUV is.

We got ripped! I didn't get but 3-4 inches. Would have LOVED 7-8. Haven't seen that much in a while. And the cool weather afterwards that's the most important. Keeps the sled runs fresh. Yeah, I said it--good old fashioned drag it up-slide it down SLEDDING!

Many times--after the commuters bash-bang buy milk and get home--I pack up the pickup and drive down to a buddy's house (an hour away in good weather) and we drink beer and sled all night on the back forty like when we were kids--cept for the beer part.

And I do it in 2WD. Amazing.

BTW JOY OF JOYS there's a new CTD owner in the 'hood. He called me tonight. He got a 2001 quad-next to the last of the GOODUNS! He was talking chips and K&N at first. I got him oriented to boxes, BHAF's, and LIFT PUMPS. I'll have the BRIAR HOPPER test guage on that sucker within the week.

MORE news from LAKE WADEBEGONE: I took Mom's truck (99CTD) and got a LINEX liner today. REAL COOL- hung out with the DUDES in the shop too. Made management nervous, but hey, they'll get over it.

AND mine is still crashed in the yard, waiting on the body shop to call. Getting $22 per day it's down. Was nice to rattle clatter today.

Re: Re: Who ordered the snow!

Well good to hear your at least getting something out of your truck sitting in the yard Wade! :-laf

So you got somebody knew to recuite(sp?) huh? Well Cowboybarber is only about 30-45 minutes away from me. I'm hoping he and I can get together Wed. evening because I want to check out his Pac Brake. I'm either getting one of two things with my return check. Either a Pac Brake if my check is big enough or STACKS! if its not enough to cover the Pac. Oo.

Boy I'm gonna have one  g/f if I get the stacks :-{} ... ... ...

:-laf

Alrightey, for the past two weeks at 6pm on Tuesday nights here on campus (East Tenn State Univ), I hear a straight piped, no silencer ring Cummins hauling doggie balls through campus. I am in class so I cant jump up and see who it is. I thought I drove mine hard till I heard this one.

Anyhow, I know of three other CTDs on campus and one of them is a TDR member, Caleb Thompson. The other two have their mufflers, cause I got underneath them and checked. :D

I would like to meet this person cause that turbo isnt going to last too much longer from all the barking it does.
