I'll be at the game too. Maybe we can get together for a bit.

depending upon certain things I may or may not make it to Wade's, but am definately going to be at the pull. :D

Can't wait to see Daniel's old truck pull!!

Truck Pull

From Ivy Bluff Pull site:

More Classes may be added the night of pull

(20. 00 Hook-Fee, 1st 150. 00, 2nd 100. 00, 3rd 50. 00)

Must be (5) Tractors or Trucks in a class for full payback money.

Educate the illiterate puller. I've never pulled for money. I don't understand how they can have a $300 purse with a 5 truck class? They'd loose money if you just count the hook fees?

This is really going to be a foot on the floor board experience!

If you dad lets YOU pull the white truck I'm gonna guess it will be a foot "through" the floorboard experience! :-laf

Scare up a couple more...

We don't want them going broke!

I 'spect they make that up in the classes with over 5 trucks. Or use the hotdog money or something. I'll axe.

Me and Mark--the clutchless but not shiftless. ;)

My auto-notification was broke, now it's not. I'll be able to keep up better now.

I see the light..... its a dual disk clutch!:-laf

Now if I wasn't dreaming! #@$%!

If I keep saving the way I am right now, then I'll be able to get my dual disk in Feb!!!

Man that's a long wait!:{

Conflicts resolved

Okay already, archery season for deer opens on the 27th. Solution, come out on Friday, hang a stand, campover, and kill a deer Saturday morning. That frees up your afternoon-evening. Hunt some more on Sunday if necessary. I gots plenty o' deer--turkeys too.

Also there is a carshow on the square of Woodbury that day. So get a wax and detail and register between 8-12. Then get a trophy at 2pm. I don't think stinkin' diesel trucks have a class of their own.

Hello all, been around TDR for awhile and just now found this area. Took me a long time to try to get up to date by reading previous posts, but I am interested in a get-together or meeting. I live in Murfreesboro- lots of CTD's but no TDR badges.

M'boro

Is where I lived for 20 years. Now I'm out here where it's quiet at night.

Jay Sykes lives down there too. Come on out on Saturday. We should get together around 4 and smoke over there around 5 to get trackside seating/parking and signed up for the class.

There will be full concessions there, but we can do some grilling here beforehand. Let me know. I'm going to get a big tent to hang out under.

Hey Wade between the few of us do you think we could swap my injectors this Saturday?

I was supposed to swap 'em out while in KY but didn't get a chance and I have a guy already wanting them.

Sure, show up at 8am, let the truck cool until noon. That's how I work on 'em. Not Hot.

I now have a metal detector for parts/tools dropped in the grass.

Have to work until AT LEAST noon. How 'bout I bring a box fan aid in cooling the motor?

Order of Business/ DIRECTIONS to IVY BLUFF pull

You just start winding your business down at 11;) :p

Yeah, I use the box fan technique too. Besides it's a minimal-valved job, those are a little quicker than the proper-valved injector swaps. And hurry up with that clutch dude, I'm getting real close to a new turbo and another dyno run.

Mid-TN Chapter--we need to figger out just exactly what we want to call it, and what "offices" we want to have and who be going to fill them initially. That's part of the paperwork they want sent back in BEFORE they give us the mailing list for our area and post us in the rag. I'm all for minimal structure, but then NOT putting it ALL on one person.

I like the idea of Regular meetings every other month at some place like Hooters, and then tech meetings (KDP, injectors, gauge install, dynos, etc) as deemed necessary. Drag races and pulls handled as interest dictates. I have two established pulls per year within walking distance of my house. The one this weekend may add two or more to the calendar.

Directions to my house: From M'boro go 70S East toward Woodbury. Watch your speed, it goes from 65 to 55 BEFORE the caution light outside of town. Then it drops from 55 to 45 to 30 pretty quickly as you come into Woodbury. Goto 4th light, turn right on 53 (McDonalds on corner). Also notice the tractor pull sign on the corner--it's a realty sized sign, white with blue and red lettering.

Drive 6 miles out 53, notice the hill. That's my test/race hill.

For those pulling trailers turn off on Hollow Springs Road (sign for Parker Hill Fire Tower), then go almost 1 mile to 2nd right which is Petty Gap Road. Turn right on Petty Gap and go about 1/2 mile to my place on left.

If you miss that turn or don't have a trailer in tow come another 1/2 mile (Just past HWY 53 Mkt) and turn right on Petty Gap Road (not marked). Stop at stop sign and cross Hollow Springs, 1/2 mile to my place on left.

If you miss that turn or can't make it with a trailer. Turn left into Martin Mini Barns (just past Petty Gap) and bring that rig about. (Lawrence Russell is the owner and TDR member, but he won't be there. ) From there you can easily make the turn onto Petty Gap (left).

Cornfused yet?

From points south and east. Get off 24 at Manchester on HWY 53 (exit 110 or 111, I forgot which) GO NORTH 18 miles watch for Martin Mini Barns on the right (a couple miles past Southside School). Turn left on Petty Gap, 1/4 mile past Martin Mini Barns. Stop at stop sign, then cross Hollow Springs and go 1/2 mile to my place on left.

For those not able to get here before 5 or so, there are signs all up and down 53 to get to the pull. From Martin Mini Barns go to Red Hill road (the one straight across from Petty Gap) Go 3. 5 miles to the end of Red Hill, see sign, turn right. Go to end of that road, see sign, turn left. Pull will be a mile or more up on the left. Pullers drive back to the track, spectators park out front.

615-765-5522 leave a message, I'll get back with you pretty quick, or email: wade AT heartoftn DOT net.

We'll work on trucks as necessary early afternoon, grill out if you want to, bring refreshments of your choice. Then we'll go pull and I'll light the fire barrel and a lantern and hang out here when we get back. Bring a tent/camper and stay over if you like.

AND we have another puller coming from Jackson with 2 or 3 trucks!!!

Count me in for this weekend!!!! Wife agreed after some creative conversation... :)) I don't know if I'll be able to pull or not (what was the hook fee again?). and I'm going to try and get there as early as possible. Maybe 5? I'd like to see some of the great injector swap.

Anyway. Looks like we'll have pretty good representation. Looking forward to it!

Saturday

Wade,

Sounds like a good plan. I am planning on dropping by the car show and head your way afterwards. Who is the guy coming from Jackson?

Jay

Okay big tent idea nixed by the cost. I didn't remember them being that high. How in the world could we justify a rental that costs as much as a 5" exhaust?

Maybe it won't rain much.

I'm going to have a small canopy now. We'll just have to weather it otherwise.

Talked to the event organizer and he's thinking of putting us on first, since nobody around here has seen a smoker truck, much less one hooked to a sled.

Bring chairs for the pull, they don't have bleachers. We'll be able to park our non-pullers up by the track.

Keep checking in.
