Each team has their own offense balls. Only at a turnover does the other team handle them. Sherman wants them to use the low pressure ones in the super bowl. Just improves has odds on intercepting.

So Dave you think cheating is ok because it did not effect the outcome. What message does this send to kids who view the Brady's of sports as hero's?

No I do not condone cheating but I do agree with a sports caster that it is a stupid rule and that each team should be able to use what ever ball they want to use within reason. Helium balls etc.. Until there is evidence that Brady is involved I do not jump to conclusions and that is what I would tell any kid that asked my opinion. Whoever or whatever happened will be judged if the evidence is found. I would not fire the CEO of 3M because one of his/her employees crapped on the conference table unless the CEO told them to do it.

No it doesn't make it right, but xxxx happens and to me sports are nothing more than entertainment, and really if you get down to it, It's not even very good entertainment.

Penny and I go down to the saloon (or Sports bar) during the season, guys get so wound up in this crap there have been fist fights over a call, good call ? or bad call ? Its a GAME!!

The guy that owns the saloon asked me what teams I want in the Super bowl? I don't care, as long as its a good game. That started an argument, YOU GOT TO HAVE A TEAM!! why? We come down here to have a few beers eat some wings and watch 22 guys play what most in the saloon wish they could have and are really XXXXed that they aren't. I never got that wound up in ANY SPORT.

during the winter we have a youth hockey league, I love to go down and watch them play. They don't know anything but having fun playing the sport, someplace along the line people forget why they love the game so much for in the first place, and in MOST cases the Parents ruin it for the kids with all their BS

Agreed, 100%. These are men playing a game. In the big picture it means nothing. I just don't like the idea of people being ok with breaking the rules to win. It sets the kind of example that has Washington behaving the way they do, not being held accountable for their actions. I know it's common in the real world, I just don't like it.

What do we teach our children? Cheating is wrong, except on taxes and using off road diesel in on road vehicles. Braking the law is bad, except for speeding. We are all kind of hypocritical on things like this. Everyone one has cheated or speeded at one time or another, we just JUSTIFY it. To the original questions. No this will be forgotten as soon as the media has something else to talk about. How many of you remember the name of the guy who hit his wife in the elevator? Do you REALLY care if he plays for an NFL team again?

Agree 100%, we are all guilty and anyone that denies it is also a liar. I do a lot of driving at work and try to be as courteous as possible but I do fall into the speeding category as I almost always do the 5 over so I am guilty. I try to use the left lane for passing where others head for the left lane right after the on ramp. Tiger Woods has been accused of cheating not only on his spouse but some golf issues, we all know of the Clinton issues. What I am saying is there is plenty to go around. I am sure there will be a lot of creative signs at the super bowl passing judgement before the final verdict is in.
