My Energy Suspension track bar bushing has some play in it at the axle end but the top one is still perfectly fine.
Is it normal for the lower bushing to go bad more often? 2 to 1?
I'm thinking of just replacing the bad one and keeping the other one from the kit on hand in case the lower one fails again. I can't remember if one or both were bad the first time I replaced them..

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Some of the poly bushings just have 2 much give in them, the red ones did not work as long as the OE on my truck. Went back with a stiffer black bushing this time and it solved a lot of the play we were seeing. A hard rubber seems to be much better than the poly for life expectancy. I only have one on the frame side so hard to tell which would wear faster.

Yeah, the ones I used long ago were red. I didn't realize the reds wern't as hard and have already ordered more of them. Just made an attempt to cancell (Amazon) so maybe there's still a chance I can go with the black ones.
If not then oh well, at least it's an easy job!

New bushings form ES were shaped a little different for easier pressing into the eyelet and the metal center bushings were thicker walled.
Hard to see where the small amount of play came from. The eyelet itself wasn't very smooth inside and showed a fair amount of rust. I can see having to actually replace it if it gets worse.
