Forget the door seals guys... Mine tore and I have forgotten about it. What's the point? It doesn't leak. Some of us are anal about things but the dorr seal really isn't worth the trouble.

I have 50,300 miles. No major problems. Running TST since 12,000 or so. Bigger tires the whole time. transmission has been good. Did have a bout with death wobble but has been eliminated.

Love this truck!

It' runs high 14's

Door seals at 5k.

Seatbelt retractor at 5k.

CP3 at 33k (was one of the leakers).

Clutch plate at 8k (was a rattler).

Instrument cluster (actually a wiring harness but the garage hosed me).

Replaced every ujoint by 75k.

Fuel tank vent hose self-fix

Installed a FASS to preserve the common rail componentswith better filtration.

Installed foglights for better lighting...

Installed cruise after being told by DCX that it wasn't possible...

Installed bypass filter

Installed auxilary tank to prefilter fuel...

Currently 114k:

I think the FCA is bad

Balljoints may need replaced

Rear 11. 5AAM has whined since new...

Just replaced the belt...

Brakes are still over 50% there...

Might need to replace the spark plugs soon...

My first Ram Cummins was a 04. 5 Quad LB 6 spd, had the usual Power steering growl at low rpms, driveline howl at 70 mph, and at 15,000 developed a fatal attraction for a Harley Davidson, insurance was nice enough to buy me a 06 Ram QC Cummins, it gets a little better mpg, no obnoxous noises, but not overjoyed with the pogo stick ride, may have to replace those cheapo shocks, I've noticed lately that after I've had a few, it's hard to shift the transmission while talking on the cell phone, other than that it's a pretty fine machine. :-laf

I had that 70mph or in my case between 70 and 75 vibe. I was sure it was just the harmonics of the whole front drive train spinning. When I brought the truck in for steering like it was my ol 96 my tech told me the rear end was shot, fluid was grey from metal filings. They replaced it, the rear springs, drive shaft and a steering box. Truck has been great the last 10K, gouys at central dodge in taunton were very acomodating. Gave me a 05 to use free of charge, gas but hey it was nice and did the trick for 5 days.

yep. . I have experienced the "light didnt go off when I turned off the switch issue" ... anyone know what this might be. .

06. . bone stock slt... .

I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM RIGHT NOW , CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT , DO YOU HAVE THE GUYS NAME YOU DEALT WITH OVER THERE AT CENTRAL DODGE ?

camsv3500, if you turn off the key before you shut the lights off the lights will go off automatically after a certain amount of time. I read about it in my manual. I think you can adjust the length of time.

Depends on which lights he's talking about... my interior lights and radio would stay on... they diagnosed a bad body computer (which happens to be the entire instrument cluster) and it turned out to be a faulty wiring harness.

But the headlight delay is normal...

Its more fun reading here than my owners manual... I need to adjust the delay...

thanks men...

I think this is the nicest truck I have owned,, yes it does have some of the quirks people complain about,, but compared to what is out there... I dont think there is any other truck that could suit my needs better

I hear the whine at 70... it hasnt bothered me yet

I have an 06 quad, 2 wheel drive. I had a sensor replaced last year. I had a whine between 55 and 70, but it has gone away now. I presently have 18,000 miles and everything is great: summer fuel mileage, depending on wind and speed goes beyond 22 MPG.

2004. 5, 6sp, 3. 73, 285's, 4x4, anti-spin (works beautifully) amsoil air, 59,000, no problems xcept elect window switch (its a modular for about $90. 00) & dealer replaced weather seal on both doors. great truck and 20-23 mpg in mixed driving

Hey all havent been on the forum lately ,just addin to the thread .

I've had my 05 3500 since 12/16/04 and just hit 11 k on the odometer.

Dont use it much being that I spend more time in my work truck than at home or else where . Yesterday while topping the tank off at $3. 89 a gallon I noticed a some fluid on the ground . Turns out my power steering hose has a pin hole in it .

So with regards to the thread ;

Door seal drivers door torn at 3k miles- TSB # ??

A/C sometimes is questionable / not sure if I'm being picky on it.

Power steering hose - 11k miles leaking .

Hopefully nothing more to report in the future.

replaced one u-joint. Very happy with the cummins side of my ride. Dodge on the other hand? The sheet metal bed is thinner than a balemic. When you can put dimples in your bed by walking on the bed rails or tightening a ratchet strap too hard its time to give Dodge two thumbs down. That it what aggrevates me the most. Try to keep my truck clean and dent free but it is very hard thanks to Dodge.

98000 miles

torn door seals (no suprise)

lift pump at 96000 (under warranty retro-fit in the tank) $100. 00

Soon to add my Edge w/attitude (hopefully a little better mileage)

Bought truck used w/79k miles, no idea on maintenance prior to then. Currently have 379k, so 300k miles worth of non-routine repairs as follows:

9/18/06 154,158 Lift pump (preventative) - GDP-391

9/18/06 154,158 Altenator support bracket (cracked) - Dodge part

9/28/06 158,400 Front brake disc pads - Performance Friction CM

1/25/07 205,351 PS reservoir o-ring - Pep Boys

4/02/07 232,100 Inner tie rod ends & stab links

4/21/07 241,056 APPS -MOPAR P/N 53031576AD

5/24/07 256,800 Lift pump GDP-391 (bad brush) - GDP warrantee

5/27/07 257,545 Fuel control actuator - Cummins P/N 4932457

6/14/07 264,300 Clutch, PP, Throwout, Pilot -Luk ProGold

8/14/07 288,837 Ball joints

9/05/07 297,909 RF wheel bearing hub

1/24/08 350,170 Inner/outer tie rods

1/24/08 350,170 Stabilizer bushings

3/18/08 372,051 #1 & #2 fuel injectors

Only repair needed currently is replacing instrument cluster light bulbs - have at least three burned out. Just a bit annoying - can still see gauges.

No problems on my '07. Just disappointed with the fuel economy at 13-14 mpg. I was hoping that it would improve as it got broken in, but hasn't changed since new and I now have 22,000 miles on it. Any suggestions?

Mine just had U joint replaced at 50k miles. Door seals. My BIL had front end steering and tie rods replaced at 45K due to uncontrollable front end vibration. Use the greaseable replacement parts not the OM so called maintenance free
