Okay look at my truck specs below and tell me what I should do next... . I am planning a vacation to Southern BC later this year and want to get some work done while I am fishing for Sturgeon...

I know I need a new Turbo. . or turbos. . I would rather stick with one. . which one?? On the other hand I have a PDRHX40 already so I am half way to PDR twins?

Along with the turbo I am going to need studs and either o-rings or an MLS gasket, which one and why?

If the head is off is a cam worth it? Which one?

The fuel system needs upgrading... . I have that under control

The transmission will be getting new parts... shiny billet ones... at DTT.

I know the first question, what do I use my truck for? Its primarily a street truck, I have drag raced some and I occasionally tow my travel trailer with it, it weighs 3500 lbs but is a big box. I also tow other light stuff, like snow machines, small boats etc. . all less than 4K lbs total.

So let me have it... .

Bob,
I have been in contact with him, he is helping me find a good fishing guide and I plan on him doing everything but the transmission... .

Come on guys, no takers on how to spend my hard earned $$

OK since the head is coming off go ahead and ring it then spend the cash on porting rather than a cam(more benefit) then put on the big brother when it goes back in. If you've STILL got money left over go fishin more often!

John,

I believe you should do the o-ring, cam, and studs. That would fit in with the way you use your truck, and long term durability!

Also you should buy my 54gal trans flow tank, that would help on the trip down to BC!! ( I'm building a custom, intregal tank on the new rear half of the truck)

I put in a Haisley street cam. I definitely think it's worth it. Quicker spool & less smoke. You might not need that new turbo. As far as I can figure, all the street cams perform about the same.

Darkhorse -
Thanks for the info on the cam, I was kind of figuring since the head was off it would be a good time to do it. Maybe I could get by with the 40 for a while if I got a cam.

Bob - That is what I was thinking too, except for the big fuel tank... I will call you next time I am in town.
