How Much Weight Can Trucks Actually Tow Video.

I have a set of GY Endurance on my list to do next spring. Those are ST but reviews are excellent, what other choices would I have beside ST in a 205 or 225/75-15?
I will probably be putting a set of 2500 lb springs and a wet bolt kit on very soon. Factory 1750's are sagging a bit(don't blame them after 13+ yrs) and over very heavy bumps the tires rub a little. Figure the 2500's would give me enough clearance to install the ST225/75-15, which is a 10-ply.

You will LOVE them!!! Coming up on three years on the market with a STELLAR record!

I installed the Goodyear Endurance 15" tires right after they were introduced 4? years ago...

Been from Maine to DC and back, then this summer from Maine to Michigan to Indiana and back to Maine. They look fine, no cracks, broken belts, any of that going on yet.....

Yeah probably not in the cards to do LT tires anytime soon, will see if springs give me enough lift to do the 225 Endurance. That's a 10ply. I like the LT tire idea though - will reconsider that later.

Edit - even though we love the dirt roads, probably leave the TT behind on most if the campsite isn't on one. Ours are a little too rough and tight for most trailers. Different than ones out west I have been on. I have been researching boondocking in the East and there are a few spots locally but not many...

A cleaning needed in any RV:

Ozone Generator

About $100 at Amazon. Find the one highest rated/Amazons Choice at that price level.

Needs a rotary switch that stays “on”. Not just a timer.

1). Install in camper, run for several days with roof AC fan ON in the HI position. Open all cabinetry and prop open any lids. Close all vents and windows tightly. Keep people and animals OUT, door locked.

2). Open and air out for a day or better. Then,

A). Detail window cleaning. Tracks & seals. RainX HD cream cleaner. DOW #4 on rubber seals/gaskets.

B). As the OG rains the scent down on surfaces. So, try below:

—- Three Bucket Method
1-5/gl with Purple Power Cleaning Solution 60% strength with deionized warm water. Microfiber towels.

1-5/gl bucket with rinse water for cleaner. Rinse dirty before into cleaner bucket. Thoroughly squeeze out to avoid streaks.

1-5/gl bucket of warm deionized with separate set of towels to go over every surface a second time with clean water rinse. Then dry.

Every surface with zero exemptions took me 40-hours working alone in a “clean” 32’ trailer I already owned. The ceiling was the hardest. Take it for granted that it’s NEVER been done. You’ll be right.

Remove every chemical of every type for now. Anything used to clean. Oily tools. Etc.

After a sunny day or two once done, go inside to see if you can detect odor sources building (they will). Bring wife and stick head into everything. Isolate & remedy.

Last pro style floor cleaning. . Launder bed covers. Clean window treatments.

Yeah, it’s a bunch of work with sopping wet toweling. But BOY, DOES IT WORK

I’ve not NOT been around trailers in our family the past 54-years. The above IS worth the effort. To the point I’d do it with one brand new.

It was part of how I rehabbed houses. New paint, and all sorts of odors . . . then looked at that trailer one day, and . . .

(EVERY time you use that, you’ll be grateful. Others who don’t really notice a background scent will heavily compliment the purchase. It’s how to sell one, but best when first bought. Make it yours. )

Also need to mount an inexpensive hygrometer and thermometer out of sunlight. Best near furnace control midway up wall.

Leaks aren’t just leaks. Humidity can build to where the air is super-saturated. I use a large floor-rolling dehumidifier in mine. It can take a week at maximum effort to bring interior humidity below 40%

If it’s always above 50, spend.

Really love this one, debating if it's worth a trip to SC (4hrs) to check it out...

Also, I've found out while shopping for a TT (besides the practical reasons) that I much prefer the looks of those totaling out less than 30ft. Any longer than that and they just look ungainly to me. Weird I know, I guess 26-28ft is the sweet spot in my case.

I got a kick out of this one. Yes, the square boxes start to look like the modern day Clampetts pulling out of the mobile home park with a 1982 47’ single in tow.

OTOH, the high end in travel trailers left the market years ago (Airstream is entry level); here’s a 1990 Avion 34VB similar to one I had my eyes on recently (Full pass-through basement).

Sits higher than my 1989 35’ Silver Streak, and almost as long.

I bought mine in the range of the OPs original post. Work needed, but, wouldn’t take twice what I paid.

You’ve had a look at disposable trailers OP. While your enjoying this one, cast a wider net. My folks had their 28’ Silver Streak 27-years. (And it’s still on the road 14-years later with never a major repair). The five of us covered North America.

The “type” (including AS) are quarter-million mile trailers. Then, rebuild. So, an indefinite life.

The generic boxes about 75k. Haul away for scrap.

www.airforums.com a good owners group.

Ten years old means depreciation gone. Values rise again. Etc.

Have fun!!

I went with the Bridgestone R500HD's. I've had them on all kinds of surfaces, to include snow/ice, and have been very impressed with them.

I took them with me to buy my 2011 Wind River 5th wheel and swapped them in the RV Dealerships parking lot :)

Yup. He had ‘em washed, dressed, marked original position on each one along with his name, address and parents telephone number.

Can’t beat Bridgestone. Match it, maybe.
