Turbo mount is the way to go, that's how all EB from factory come that I have ever seen.
The Jacobs is no longer made, nor are repair parts.
I swapped out the Jake in my 05 just before selling it with a PXRB from PacBrake. It was a much stronger brake, and install was very easy. It's the brand I would recommend.
I don't recommend using the warm up feature too often on a cold motor thou, it just soot loads the oil as the back-pressure is the same on a cold motor as a warm motor and there is more potential blowby on a cold motor. It's fine on occasion, but shouldn't be the norm based on what I've seen with UOA.
John, do you think this is the case even with the high idle feature? On a cold day, my truck kicks into high idle even with the PRXB engaged. Just curious as to your thoughts.
I think it would be worse at first at high idle, but that's just a guess.
3-5 minutes of normal idle, no EB, is the most you need before driving in the cold per Cummins.
I have noticed on the 6.7's that the EB doesn't engage fully during warm up mode. It only applies minimal back pressure to the engine to aid in warmup... which isn't an option with a traditional EB.
I have lots of mornings in the 20’s, right now it’s 21 degrees f.
If I don’t use the block heater and I’m not using the EB which I do not have yet, how long should I let my engine warm?
By the way, I live 2/10th of a mile from the highway with a 55 mph speed limit.

I have a similar scenario and I only idle long enough to let oil circulate and then drive easy. The best way to warm up a diesel is to drive it.
If you are going to idle it then 3-5 minutes is what Cummins recommends, 10 minutes is considered excessive.
