Boy am I glad I don't have to go by those rules, No air bags but you can still block the suspension, My bags will squat more than blocks. Fire suits are a waste of time. What about water, n20 and lpg in the prostock class I might have missed those rules, but I didn't see anything about them. After all that I guess I am still a prostock for now

I could qualify street stock. But how much is to much smoke?

D--air bags are ok they just need to be disconnected from their inflation system--none of this inflating the bags while you're pulling down the track and then deflating at the end---water/nos/propane put you into the superstock--



what we tried to do is make a totally stock class, yes it may be useless, but we don't want to have a guy show up stock, which does happen and not pull because he knows he can't compete with the guys who've done some upgrades--if we don't get new blood we will go nowhere



Prostock--hp upgrades are ok, but for now we think having NOS, water and lpg put you into the next class --we have to start somewhere--some trucks are tweeners--



we had a lot of discussions on this over on the Diesel-Central site earlier this year---fire suits--better to be safe than sorry--we may adjust things too-it's never too early to change before the next season starts--



any input is encouraged---you also have to remember that not everyone lives in the pulling belt---so were trying to be as fair as possible across the board---chris

RX--going to be a judges call--but stock should mean stock--but again we may adjust things as more people give input---most stock trucks don't smoke, but maybe a little----chris

RX--that's the idea for stock---where do you draw the line?? that's the prob--



stock to me means bone on the engine-yes air cleaners and exhaust are ok and---so if you have ten guys whose trucks are stock and one guy shows up with a box or injectors or a plate or gov spring kit or turbo should he be allowed to run stock--do you make him run with the prostockers--hard call either way someone is going to be ticked off---like I said things can be changed before the next season, but we will need more input to make a change----chris

I guess Id be in the stock class, even with DDIIIs, a HOTDRAGDDUFM, stock turbo, I dont make hardly any smoke.

Thats the whole problem with trying to "regulate" a stock class. Where and how do you draw the line?

maybe we need a stock+ class---or you just forget the stock class and call it stock modified----goning to be bickering no matter what---



jtisdale----see you have 3's and DDUFM= 350-400 hp--how do you call that stock(not meant in a derogatory way just a question)--that's what a lot of people will say---but then you have guys that have the same setup, but with a different turbo---where do they go---vicious circle---chris

Thats what I mean when I ask how do you define stock class. If by those rules, then yes, my truck is stock.



Now if you were to change the name just a little... to something like "cheater stock", that may clear up some confusion ahead of time.



I'd be ticked off too if I brought my factory stock 95 and somebody with a truck like mine showed up and spanked me by about 100 feet. Deal is, both trucks fit the same set of rules for that class. You cant make everybody happy.



IMO, you have the classes set-up perfectly.



Street Stock/Cheater stock/Modified stock= boxes and or injectors allowed

limit to less than 4" turbo (stock size) NO DRUGS/H2O

NO HANGING WEIGHTS



Prostock same as above

anysize SINGLE turbo NO DRUGS



Superstock or (open)

Anything goes... NO WHINING

All the turbos you can spool and all the drugs it will swallow.



Thats the way I read the classes, right?

jtisdale--yes you're right that you're truck will fit in the stock class --it's not supposed to though--you exposed an oversight--there's nothing saying no injectors or boxes, plates, gov spring kits, etc... thanks for bringing that to light--now whether to change it or not--got some thinking to do or wording to add or ??????????????... ... ... ... chris

Chris, around here, its so new that anything goes... IN THE STREET STOCK CLASS!! Nobody looks under the hood, checks weight or even hitch height!!!!!!!!

Thats the cool side of it.

The down side, and a real concern of mine is the lack of safety rules and equiptment. NOBODY is running loops or blankets or shields of anykind, sadly, including me.

There is only a few of us running around 400hp, with one or two running closer to 450hp.

Next year might be a real nightmare, as I am sure it will be worse, or better, depending which way you look at it. I was always in the top 3 except once last year. I figure it'll cost me another $2000 to stay in the top 3 next year.
