What should I do? (REPOST)

I need help! So I knew the only place to turn was the great bastion of relational wisdom that is known as the TDR!!! :D

I'm getting married in June. I am also getting money back from taxes.

Should I use the money to get guages for the truck, or use the money for the honeymoon?

I had started this poll before the great crash of April. Unfortunately it did not survive. So if you already responded, please repost. There were some great responses.

Thanks,

Scott

Wifeys may come, Wifeys may go... ... but your CTD will last forever.

And your truck will never get mad if you ride another truck.

It will wait patiently in the parking lot while you down another cold one with the boys.

It won't get cranky for a week each month.

Come on guys need more input. ;) :D

Get the Gauges, let her know right now that you wear the Pants and the relationship will be better off in the Long run... ... .....

Go ahead and buy the gauges and tell her you forgot about the Honeymoon. hehehe :-laf :-laf just kidding not.

Learn the big C word (compromise!). I'd get the gauges, put it on the charge card and use the tax return for the honeymoon. Both of you are happy and the card can be paid off over time.

The honeymoon

Do both - Buy the gauges then go to Wal Mart buy a sleeping bag for the honeymoon that will take place in the bed of the truck:D

BV,

Good idea, but then I need to get a pad for the truck bed, some pvc pipe to make a frame for a cover, then a tarp to cover the bed... :)

Does it ever end? :D

Scott:

I have a coupon for a couple of free nights camping with some meals thrown in down near Monument CO. Would she be interested in a honeymoon there? With the money you wouild save, you could buy the RV you need to stay there.

You live IN Colorado ! Why do you need a honeymoon? It's right there! Go camping in the mountains. Shoot paintballs at all the bicyclists, keep score. Tour the Coors factory, see how many past the "3 free" limit you each can get. :D Look for lost silver mines. Go hassle the guys at ATS. :D Get Isspro gauges, and you can still afford a honeymoon. Oo. Seriously, dude, congrats.

I guess my reply was eaten last time this thread dissappeared. My suggestion would be to have the wedding registry be at fine stores like piersdiesel.com, tst products.com, genos.com, etc. I think you get it. That way you can spend the cash on a decent honeymoon and get a load of upgrade parts for the truck.

new bride opening gifts and finding gauges, transmission upgrade parts, etc =

you = :rolleyes:

Get the gauges, so you can see how hard you are working the engine while you are running as fast as you can!

Seriously... ... RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Briar Hopper on this one. Get the Isspro EV's (about $250 for Boost/Pyro/Fuel Pressure and most necessary fittings) and still enjoy one heck of a honeymoon!

If that's not an option, take it from an experienced opinion, do the honeymoon thing... the gauges will be there when you get back... and heck, if she's really cool, maybe she'll even get them FOR you!
