where can i get a functional cowl hood for my 3rd gen truck?

hey guys. i am getting ready to paint my truck and i am going to get everything for the body now so i dont have to keep going back and forth.



what i am looking for is a Nice big cowl hood that will be fuctional with my cummins. i have been looking and looking, either i am missing it or they dont have them out yet... ... anyone know where. i want the cowl to be at least 2 inches. this will be a show truck so it has to look awesome. thank you

Doug Hofeldt is working on one now. I think it is done, just needs finishing touches. He sent me pictures of it a while back, but I mistakenly deleted them. The show Trucks on Spike TV had one on a 1500 Hemi, I would assume it would fit on a HD as well, check out www.truckstv.com, they may have information on it.

STYLIN CONCEPTS has hood for the Dodge. They have a twin scoop fiberglass hood. Then they have an AIR GRABBER hood, that has a functional pop up scoop. Don't see any flipper cowl hoods for the Dodge, but that doesn't mean they don't have any. Try given them a call 1-800-434-1650

Larry, I got to see the early stages of it last August when I visited Doug Hofeldt, but it looked cool. It's a shaker type with air scoop protruding through a hole in the center (if I remember right). If he resends you pictures be sure 'n post 'em before you lose them again

When I get a new truck one of the first modifications will be a Doug Hofeldt hood.

I have seen pictures of that hood and it is impressive and really looks cool.

Since I have one of his hoods on my 94,I can attest to the quality and workmanship.

Doug is a true artisan.

I have be considering this one real hard, love the look of it. It is functional but not made to use with the diesel, but I think I guy could make it work.
