Planning a trip to SoCal in late December. Would like to find an RV park between LA and San Diego. Any suggestions? What sites to see for younger kids? Thanks

If you plan on visiting orange county attractions(Dland,Knotts, etc)there are many in town but there is one out aways(east)Canyon rv (used to be called Featherly Park)that has a more wilderness feel. Like Sam said Newport dunes is nice with its own waterway.

In addition to the suggestions above, you might check out the State Parks, but get your reservations early.

Doheny State Park is right on the beach in Dana Point, but doesn't have full hookups. San Clemente State Park will give you full hookups on the Bluff overlooking the beach, and was recently remodeled. Both are exactly half way between SD and LA, about 35 minutes from Disneyland, and close to all amenities.

San Elijo is in North San Diego County and is right on the beach and very nice.

Find them all here with pictures... . http://www.parks.ca.gov

That makes 2 of us! They probably won't even let "common folk" in with regular trailers/5vers down in there anyhow.

They better have Pamela Anderson washing trailers "necked" for those prices!!

Turboman, Befroe you start traveling, I recommend joining Passport America ($44 a year) through Camping World. The savings is usually 50% at their campgrounds (many throughout the US). Campland on the Bay$15-$38 per night(Passport), and its on Mission Bay and close to all attractions. To see Disneyland and Knotts see the Anaheim listings in the Trailer Life camping book. Don't forget to bring winter clothes as the temps can get down to 70 degrees during the day. Don .
