I'm going to purchase a gift for my fathers 03 and have narrowed it down to one of the following intake systems.

AEM Brute Force

Volant

#ad

MAC

#ad

I like the AFE stage 2, but it is a little pricey.

The AEM and MAC both look nice, but I'm concerned the turbo noise will be too loud. The Volant has a nice setup, but it doesn't look like it pulls as much air a it could.

If you don't mind, let me know what you think, I'd like to order something on Friday. If you have opinions on something else in the $250 < price range, let me know. I'd like one that comes with a new tube as these do.

Thanks

I have the AFE and love it. It's in my Ram 3500 and my Furd Excursion. It has a nice turbo sound a little louder but not annoying sounds like big rig spools quiker than stock too!

Easy install and nice instructions

Is the turbo a lot louder on the excursion? The fords whistle a tune as it is, must sing for days with the AFE . . .

I have to Volant I like it you need to measure the surface area of each before you decide +volant is cold air

A suggestion, check out the Scotty 3.

Excellent filtration with proof from independent oil analysis'.

Lower Exhaust Gas Temps

Proven improved mileage

Dual layer foam instead of pleated cotton.

Definately the best kept secret of air intakes out there. :D

Writer for the TDR is reporting good results in their tests too.

I am a little biased. However, its an option that is quickly becoming the preference.

My sig will take you to it.

Scotty

Been happy with my Quad intake and Green filter. Oil samples show silicon ppm's as low as factory air box and OEM filter.
