I took the dash all apart an saw nothing that looked like a realy??
Any chance some one has a picture of this and where?

THANKS

I am not sure on the '97, but look for a little black module, about 2x3x3/4. It may be velcroed to the backside of the lower dash, or along the steering column.

I don't see ANY THING like that under the gague pack or the knee panel,,
BUT I've changed out BOTH the motor and the switch an still not intimeate wiper?,,,#@$%!

Any one have any more idea's ????!

I called my dealer about a wiper module for the wipers and after a lot of searching they said it is unadvailbe an that it was updated to be just in the motor an an up date kitt was $320,,

Do you have any u-pull-it yards or salvage yards near you? I was under the impression the delay timer is in the multifunction switch, but if there is a separate module they will be the same in 1500s, which are easy to find wrecked.

I found a .pdf picture from an old parts manual. Unfortunately I cannot seem to upload .pdf, . doc, or . docx files.

It should be almost like a thick, stocky rectangle with a rectangular plug on the edge of one end. The other end may be attached to a slide and snap metal bracket.

Yes I have now finally found it,,,

The info here (site) wasn't real clear for us first timers looking,,

BUTTTT,,,For the NEXT lost soul,,,

On a 98 "SPORT" If you take the knee panel off (the plactic under the steering coulum) You will see a sheetmetal panel/frame, and on the right had side.

You should see 2 screws. You can NOT SEE the box as it is on the other side of metal frame,,(almost under the ash tray) an the timer/module slides out (or down in this case) Like PMJ2500CTD said above.

It is about the size of a ciggerate pack. It is a circute board inside of a black plactic box.

An mine had the PART # 56020157AB,,I flew to my dodge dealer before it closed,,$150

SOOOOooooooo

I said to my self,,"SELF" I said,,,go look in a salvage yard,,,,,,,:-laf

I HOPE THIS HELPS THE NEXT GUY (or gal)

I looked at a friend of mine's 94,,way differant an OH!!!!!! so much easier to get to and SEE...
I took the knee panel off an BINGO it looks you right in the face,,( but not the same as 98)

Now I've changed the Motor,Switch & now Timer (used tho)
Still no intermediate wipering,,,,!!!? #@$%!

DODGEDADDIE,

Since there are a couple of posters with similar issues in this thread it may be time to re-address your particular issue. I assume the original problem was that your wipers did not park when turned off. The most likely cause is the park switch in the wiper motor itself. Since you changed the motor, do the wipers return to the park position now? Did the intermittent function cease to function at that time, or were they having issues prior to the parts replacement? Does the low speed work OK... high speed OK??? The CTM (central timer module) controls the intermittent wiper operation. There is a wiper motor relay in the PDC (power distribution center) under the hood. Check or swap it with another relay in the PDC.

Yes changed #6 the first thing. .
This may sound weird but looking at the cover of PDC where it shows wiper relay,,that whole strip is empty,,maybe looked at it wrong,,!!! but see NO relays there .
An wipers all worked till about 2 weeks ago

I figured F6 would be OK since the wipers were working in the low and high modes. It's a good and easy check to allow a visual if the general vicinity for any issues like overheating, discoloration, corrosion, etc. The relay is an important player in the intermittent and park functions.
Well, has your truck been in the lone company of others? Maybe they took an unplanned vacation. Back to the "used donor vehicle" to see if it has some volunteer replacement pieces... ???
