I've been brewing bio-D for 3 years now with no problems and running it in 3 different 2nd gen 12-valve trucks - mine and 2 friend's. One has done high 10 second runs at the local 1/4 mile track on my B85. You must do it right and cut no corners. Good processing, good washing, and good drying. Filtration is important but I use readily available 10 micron fuel filters, though the bio-D goes through these filters 3 times before it gets into the truck's tank.
We run B85 in the summer and B66 in the winter.
Disposing of the glycerin is by far the biggest issue.
And whilie you should consider ZBrooks' comment about no plastic processing equipment, all 103 40-gallon batches I've done have been in a plastic (crosslinked HDPE) tank with a heating element. It works great. You just have to be careful.
