Well I have a new 2008 that I screwed up by putting 19. 5 wheels and bridgestone tires on. It chases every rut in the road but looks pretty cool doing it. Think I'm going to have to get less cool and go back to the 16's.
2007 QC SB 4X4
My front end alignment was off from the factory. Fixed under warranty. If I bought a new one I'd have 'em check that before delivery.
In a message on this forum last fall the CEO of KORE maintained that front end geometry on pre 08 (at least 3rd gen 4X4) trucks are defective from the factory. He claims that tow in changes as the tire bounces up putting stress on all front end components. He figures the 08 changes should take care of the problem. There is a TSB for this.
1999 2500 4X4 has loose, lots of play in the steering. I have to keep adjusting to go straight down the road. My mechanic wants to put a BD Steering Box Stabilizer on it. Anyone know if that is a good fix??

I had the DSS Solid Steel Industries version on my '02 and put many on for friends. It works really great. In fact, my local frame & alignment specialist liked it so well, he puts them on also. I also had to change the ball joints, replaced the track bar with the later style that was adjustable, and had it realigned. My stock Michelins have over 70k on them, are wearing evenly, and still have enough tread to go to about 100K. Wander is very minimal now. I will check out the steering column lower bushing in the spring...
I installed a solid steel industries kit on my 99 and that changed the bad habit the truck had of wondering around, the BD stabilizer my work just as well compare the price.
DSS and Trackbar Kit w/3G Trackbar on my long since sold 99 gasser definitely made it a new(ish) machine. It was pretty bad. I used to worry about coming home from bars on a weekend. Not that they would've gotten me, since I don't drink enough to blow more than 1/4 of legal limit (don't ask me how I know)
Add mine to the list, 95 2500 4wd, uppers and lowers @ 77,000 2nd new box @ 125,000 and now at 136,000 its time for uppers again, After all of this it still wanders to the right. . Oh yea 3 track bars also. .
