So I jump on Cars.com for fun and I find this... $44K + for a 2006-2007? This is flippin stupid #@$%! Would anyone in their right state of mind pay these prices when a brand new 2015 can be had for just a little more?

"Ra-tard" is a very offensive term. I guess you were blessed with not having any intellectually challenged people in your life, let alone any of your own children.
I'm glad for you but you shouldn't take it for granted.

Dog- I fixed it for ya. And please, don't EVER acuse me again of purposely making fun of anyone. That was not my intent and you know that. And to be honest, I'm pretty ticked off that you would even frame me into that picture.

I for one take offense at your "intellectually challenged" comment. I'm going to go cry. For the record, instead of using this term, please feel free to refer to me as a dumb WOP instead. That's far less offensive to me than "intellectually challenged".

Yep...asking and getting are two different things.

Although, prices around here for good 2004-2006's are a lot higher than they were two, three years ago.

Just curious, where's "around here?" No signature....curious if you're out west.

I'm in CA. A clean 2004.5 up 5.9 truck with low miles is an easy $28-35k, depending on trim level/options. My '05 2wd w/150k miles that I bought in TX a couple of months ago I could honestly resell at a $5-6k profit...that is, if I can ever get past the new OBDII test and get it smogged :(

Two of those are new car dealers. No better way to sell new than to compare it to an over priced used. Then comes "we can get you this new truck for just a few more dollars a month."

Funny you post this, because I feel there has been a drop... at least in my 05 recently. It seemed to hold right at about $25k on KBB for the longest time, and now it's dropped, and I've seen some 05's (slightly more miles than mine) sit trying to sell for a while and going in the upper teens.

I actually thought I slightly overpaid for mine. '05 4wd Quad cab Laramie sport, auto , 110k miles, new tires, new upper/lwr balljoints, new front cv joints, tinted windows, stainless Silverline turbo back exhaust and for the most part as clean as a Michigan truck can be. The only rust spots are on the tailgate and rear bumper. Paid $18k, but in most cases you are buying the owner and in this case it was my dad. I know pretty much every mile, how many times it was used to tow and didn't have to pay taxes.
