Seafish, I worked the joint to max deflection on the bench, no problem. Snowball, assuming I'm as stupid as you isn't going to serve you well in the long run. GS, my truck works every day. I use 4 WD daily this time of year just to get into my jobsites. Add plowing and pulling a 9 ton GN out of a muddy landing and parts wear. My 3rd gen wore the Carden joint out at the centering pin and bearing even though I installed locking hubs, because it wasn't serviceable from new. When I'm laying in the snow or mud servicing the truck it'll be worth the effort made today.

Found mine on the 2016. Tight as can be to get to it since that joint is directly above a cross member. As noted, this one does not turn unless it is in 4WD so not sure it really needs the every 7k mile attention that is called for in the manual. I use my truck as a tow vehicle and it will rarely see 4WD.

I found that the tool to lube the hole in the end of chainsaw bar works great. I can use Husqvarna hi-temp blue or repack with a good Lithium base grease hit mine eveytime it's so easy with this tool.

Can this tool be bought separate from the chainsaw? Do you have a link. I broke 2 injection needles and still not sure I got enough grease in it. I had more success in the past. Gettin old

If your truck has the decal instructing you to grease it....it's there. They are a booger to find though.....just takes some time & patience.

I spent 10 minutes with a flashlight trying to fine one on my 15. I really don't think I have one on this truck either! Talking to SNOKING about where it is but my signal failed.

SNOKING stop by and prove I am blind!!!

Do I need to disconnect the driveline from the transfer case? Based on the above pic it should be EASY to see!

We will be in Shelter Bay 3-5 tomorrow. Trust me it is there. Chris

I use something like this for chainsaw bearings Oregon, Husqvarna, Stihl all carry these can reload with all grease has right tip and fits in and you just push. Can buy on ebay, hardware, chainsaw supply, easy for the job. When new are pretty dry, after about three or for pushes on back. Easy solution, not messy, works great.

What do you guys think about using a needle to lube the outer tie rod ends?

not all of them have this fitting. i even took my front shaft out to find it. it's not there. i'll be taking it apart to grease it.
