Stock Mopar shafts have 1485 joints for manual transmissions, 1350 for autos. Biggest u-joint that will fit an AAM is the 1480, no yokes for the bigger joints. 1550's are almost 1" wider than the 1480/1485 joints that would be a custom setup if the flange is retained.

Flanged and didn’t look custom, and they were significantly bigger than my OE manual trans u-joints.

I often wondered if it was off a C&C truck.

EDIT: Found some pics. Looks like about an inch bigger. Shop said they were 1550’s, but I never had the need to verify.

Had to have been a CC shaft as the LD's were not that big. $300 was extremely cheap for it, they were $600-700 back in the day.

I wonder then if mine was also from a C&C as it is ALSO impressive in size. :p

Mine was part #52153162AC

1350's by the part number and spec. Need to measure cap diameter and cross diameter to make sure what they are. The one got has 1350's I am almost positive in it. A 480 is a significant upgrade but not the width of a 1550.

The links do not list a 1 piece past 2012. Don't think they fit anymore with the SCR system in place.

That’s what it looks like at initial inspection.

Since they really increased the size of the u-joints I’m hoping the carrier bearing is also stronger.

For the driveshaft?

It’s a 2 piece, and for a QC LB truck.

I’m honesty not sure there is enough clearance for a large 1 piece with the OE exhaust intact.

For the aluminum one piece driveshaft that you have pictured next to the steel two piece driveshaft above??

I also have a one piece driveshaft. No problems whatsoever. Had it done here in Las Vegas by Dan Driveline. Custom built everything new for around $650 installed.

Based on what most driveline builders say it is not heavy enough for a diesel application. Even the larger aluminum DS's are border line if you have a lot of TQ.
