Geez I lost ALL respect for DiNero.

In MoPar speak the 3rd gen Hemi (any built after 2003) is a 3G Hemi. It actually has the same bell housing as a 360 and mount kits and carburetor/ spark/ exhaust solutions are plentiful, but this here is a REAL LRE! It’s gotta have a LA MoPar under there. Since Ron won’t PM me, I’ll say it here. You can build a 416 stroker out of a SBM and itll look exactly like that 360 right there.
This ought to get ya going for less than half the price of a hellkitty mill.

Ron, Have you returned to the place dropped off Red express truck, or ?:cool:

I did go back and owner said it should be ready next week if parts arrive ok. He wanted to drive it, but had heeded my instructions to take good care of it... had local rain shower and he didn't to take it out. I'm good with that.

I wished I could do this myself, not rocket science, just starting change to limit or stop back stressing activities.

I'll post updates when I get more info.

Cheers, Ron

yeah, thir,

Blown head gasket confirmed... removed heads and sent to machine shop for inspection and rework.

Once upon a time, I got my mitts on a warranty 318 short block, and was going through it for a friend. He had a set of heads. The intention was to heat it up a bit, so I took some measurements and the piston was so far in the hole/ deck so tall, that with “J” heads like yours, Ron, it would have had 7.2:1 compression. We adjusted accordingly and wound up with just a bit over 9. Combined with a nice cam and headers, it was a happy engine!

Well,

I have MANY trying to draw Ron Skywalker to the darkside... one friend wants me to lose the carb and go TBI.... With all I've done, I want to keep it stock... it has plenty of scoot and I think part of the premium price I paid was for this completely original, cept'n paint and new wood and stacks.

But thanks all for the thoughts... I'm being a good Jedei.:p

Cheers, Ron
