2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Running lights after the fact

Mopar lights (old style anyway) come with a template to align the holes. Did it myself a couple of years ago. Took me about 2 hours I guess. Very important to put a relay in the circuit or you'll burn up the headlamp switch. That's easy to do, in case you have never done it (put in the relay, or...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission LSD Ka put?

"only use enough to make the chatter go away. My LSD never chattered ( or worked for that matter)... " Mine chatters all the time, but she does work. Do you put the friction modifier in her food? If I could just cut the chatter a little, my wife would be perfect!

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Low numbers on EGT guage.

OK. I have the sensor drilled and tapped, pre-turbo HX35W, in the rear partition of the manifold. I have a K&N filter, but a new AFE stock-box replacement is in the mail. The muffler and cat are gone, and I have 4" all the way back with a resonator. Thanks.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Low numbers on EGT guage.

Over a year ago, I put a Western Diesel EGT guage (DiProcol I think) on my 2000 2500. I have never seen the temp go over 500. I suspect that's not correct, as I have a modest fuel box and tow an 8000lb travel-trailer up mountains on occasion. I feel like the temp is about twice what the guage...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Speedometer accuracy

The GPS is great, but remember that it usually only tells your speed in a single plane. If you are going up and down hills, your odo and speedo will show higher values than the GPS. It will be amazingly accurate with your boat on the lake, but very WRONG on mountainous roads. This may or may not...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Speedometer accuracy

I believe Garrett is on to it. If the problem was with the speed sensor gear, you would have a PROPORTIONAL variance, say 10%. You seem to have a constant 4mph. I went to 185s and I have about a 10% difference. I'm actually moving 33 when my speedo says 30, and 66 at 60. You can also verify the...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Fuel pressure gauge

elam, What part of the state is Seymour? I'm near Nashville. I would be glad to show you how sometime, or at least how I did it... The gauges and mounts can be found on-line at Geno's garage. They also have much better prices on filters than the dealer, and you of course need to use approved...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) FP gauge

I just got my backordered guage and banjo from Geno's and installed them last night. I must have done something wrong, or I have a bad guage/sender. My pressure spends most of it's time at 15psi, not quite pegged on the guage (16psi). Occasionally, and not associated with driving conditions like...

    Cab Light Question

Can somebody tell me what the part number is for a new-style clearence light kit? My dealer who I am pretty satisfied with ordinarily, has a couple of newbies in the parts department. They can't find the lights. I went to pick up my lights today, but they had the cargo light/brake light assy...

TDR Volunteer in Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas area?

Did I miss the answer? Does this complicate the changing of the oil filter? Thanks.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission New guy, Power Steering problem

Well on the way home last night it occurred 6 or 7 times, once when I was not idling but accellerating in 2nd gear! I'm not convinced that I can turn the wheel at all when this occurs. I just about reach full panic torque on the steering when the assist kicks in an I oversteer (dramatically). I...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission New guy, Power Steering problem

I have had my truck for a couple of months. Bought used from a friend who told me he had a 'sticking' in the power steering a couple of times. I felt it once on the way home. It is more and more frequent, but not predictable. I only notice it when moving slow since I rarely turn the steering...
