5ver lift kit ?

When I bought my Lance 1181 (4500 #'s and full wall slideout) I was advised that I NEEDED airbags by two dealers.

Worst things I ever added to my truck, aside from the leaks the bags made the empty ride guaranteed buisness for the spine surgeon. Pogo-ing, swaying the ride was terrible. This was due to the HIGH COG of the camper and the lift Dodge adds to the 4wd trucks.

This may not apply to 2wd trucks and definately not to the 3rd Generation trucks because the airbags mount inside the frame and simply assist the springs.

On my 2nd gen the bags mount outside the frame and literally carry all of the weight.

The camper special package amazed me, truck sits level with the 4500 behemoth in the bed and the ride, well lets just say "very nice".

Only addition will be two visit the salvage yard and pick up a set of helper springs ( the top springs on the camper special package) and add them to the existing springs because we two behind the truck/camper.

The rigs sits 1/2" lower on the driver side because of the slideout weight ( ).

We will never leave that much weight sitting on the truck, jack down when overnighting or camping.
