4" PVC Bulkhead Fitting - $100? You're kidding!

I'm in need of a bulkhead fitting for 4" PVC. Before trying to make one myself from various fittings, I thought I'd check whether any such thing already exists.



To my shock and horror, there is such a thing. McMaster-Carr wants almost $100 for one, and they're the cheapest I've seen! Look at these prices!



Guess I'll have to make my own...

rbattelle, one could say, "Well someone has to make a living," but it wouldn't be me. On a chain drive tractor rotatilla, they wanted $45. oo for a gasket for the chain case cover, I just used a permatex type of gasket sealer and without any gasket or bulk such as cord, as the both surfaces were gauge steel but never had any trouble from it. Electrical and plumbing supplies have a stranglehold on prices, the electric twist cord connecters are pure Robbery, and designed by a Cesspool Pumper. (Mad at Everybody on Earth) (Has to take everyone's Crap) the lousy things get caught up on everything.

Here's one for $65 four inch schedule 80 is expensive

Yeah, I saw that one Rick. But I was thinking more along the lines of $20 would be reasonable.
