Can anyone tell me how to adjust the accelerator cable for the transmission shift points??
My truck hangs up in first gear (auto) unless I really take the rpms up. Dosn't do it all the time ,seems like only when I get on it a little strong.
Just finished taking the cat off today, I've had a test pipe from D\C since June and just got around to taking the cat off.
I didn't have a set of torches to heat the pipes with so I did the next best thing. I used my die grinder with a !/16" wide abrasive wheel and split the cat pipe in four places. A little wiggling and some cussin and it came right off.
Now with a TST #5 plate, cat removed, and the silencer ring removed, plus a set of gages the truck is now performing more like I wanted it to!!

I dont know what year you have but i'll try. If you take the cable off the thottle lever sit the end next to the stud you snapped it off of sit the adjustment to 1/8 inch gap. You sit it by pushing in on the side of the big part of the cable or if you have the other style pop out the clip. But if you didn't mess with this adjustment you souldn't have to adjust it. You may have another problem sticking govnor or hard seals.
