I've got a 38' Work and Play on order which is a race trailer with living quarters- the front of the trailer is a straight vertical panel. I've read up on some of the rv forums about the truck mounted wind deflectors- they seem to have limited benefits- if you average out the responses.
something not discussed on their forums is the "bubble" you see on commercial truck boxes (would not work for 99% of the 5er's due to the 5er nose shape).
I'm not looking for miracles but suspect it's good for . 5+ mpg. In my favor is that my trailer is only 9. 5' tall (+ the AC unit). I tow about 25k miles a yr with this setup, a lot of it at a bit over the posted 70/75 limit and can get killer headwinds heading west on 40 or 80.
For these reasons- I think it might be worth it for me. Anyone have direct experience or know where to shop for these? I've discoverd nosecone.com and that's about it.
