Let me add that they have figured out how to do this WITHOUT cutting wires.

I had the dealer flash my truck years ago. It took DC a few trys but finally they got it to work.



It works well, today is a good example with the temps minus10F here in VT. I forgot to plug the truck in last night and only had enough juice for one cycle of the heaters. The beast complained but started on one cycle. Not too long later it ran up to 1200rpm and then kicked in the noise maker (3 cyl idle) routine. It is always interesting to watch the exhaust smoke drop off when the 3 cyl kicks in.



Now if I had just not parked in front of the bedroom window. . Mrs not happy at 5:30am when the 3 cyl kicked in!!



I also have the smarty as backup!!
