lets see here, lp died at 100,000, bad load of fuel at 130,000, VP at 135000. On the same note, thanx PAW PAW (YOU KNOW WHO U ARE) on the hook up for the new VP. Still running strong now with another 20k put on.

Regards,
J

Three lift pumps, now has Holley Blue on frame with a NAPA frame mount cartridge pre-filter. Approaching 200K on this 99 and at 145K lost a VP-44, Now has a Chips X and I am very happy with the performance and milege. Also put a Timbo APPS on it at 150k. I rarely use it for heavy hauling , however I rarely go without some kind of trailer, utility, snowmbile, ATV, and occasionally my 5th wheel.

1998. 5 2500--First pump died at about 79,000 miles. The second unit died at about 159,000 miles. First one was covered under warranty; the second failure was on my own ticket.

139K on VP44 and still going. LP replaced around 50-60K. Finally adding a FP guage next week (UPS should deliver it Monday).

My original VP44 failed at 66,088 miles because the injection pump control module failed because components de-soldered from the board and I got the standard dead pedal when it was hot. I replaced it with a Bluechip pump because it was said to have a control module that would take the heat and had all the latest mechanical upgrades. The Bluechip pump's control module now has failed for the same reason and I only got 16,521 mile out of it. Needless to say, I am a very unhappy camper. Evidently the Bluechip pump is not all it is cracked up to be. I will be discussing the matter with Chip this coming week. This should not have happened. Anyone have other reliable sources for replacement VP44's?

My VP44 failed and left me stranded last week at 156,000 miles. I did not know I had a problem because my Westech fuel gauge was reading 15 psi even after unhooking the fuel line going to the sender.

BUT, It gave me the perfect time to install a Hot Rod VP44, and larger injectors.

Today while cruising down the highway at 60mph, stopped like you turned the key off.

118,000 miles, babied, never modified, don't hardly tow anything, 2 stroke oil added, power service additive always, clean fuel and filter changes regularly, fuel guage to monitor lift pump, and it still goes out!!!!
