I want to go to the 3rd Gen Trac Bar and found one here locally for $75.

Can I press the old bushings out and reinstall aftermarket bushings to start over with a "like new" product. Or should I let someone else replace them?

What are good Bushings? Everyone says "their's is the best"...

$75 vs. $320... It's worth the effort.

I know the Conversion Bracket is $185.

I need to know which Bushings are going to last. This is going to be for my '97 Hot Shot Truck.

the new heavy duty tracking bars that are built for your model truck can have the bushing end of the bar replaced, and they're $300, you can spend $150 for a stock track bar but you can't replace the bushings once they go bad, have to replace the whole bar.

I seem to remember replacing the axle end of my bushing with a poly bushing but it's been a few years so I'm not positive. I also tried rebuilding the frame end with a Luke's link for about $65... just takes an angle grinder. The link kept loosing up so I went the 3rd gen Adj track bar and have been satisfied with that but it's pricey as you found out. I think its a 3rd gen bar is a very good mod for these failure prone stock bars. Thuren makes a track bar ithat s also good and is cheaper if you check that out.

I bought the 03 track bar and the bushings looks strong but it was off a new truck. Shoot if the bushings in the new trac bar were GONE it would be better than my stock trac bar right now.
