i climb into the truck after it running for about 15 min in the driveway warming up and the cel is on! take it down to autozone to read codes and this is what they found:

p0237 pcmdetermined that imput voltage for boost pressure sensor too low for current operating conditions

p0380 pcm determined that a malfunction exists in electrical circuit gor grid heater circuit a

please help!

comp box? was going to disconnect the pump wire and map sensor

batterys? there dc batterys less than a yr old.

Did they clear your codes for you too? The malfunction code for the grid heater may mean the grid heater is pooched, and when it died it threw another code too, when my throttle position sensor died, my truck threw eight different codes, only a couple of which were related to the tps, so get a tech tocheck the grid heater, and go from there, good luck.

yes autozone cleared codes... i did go to cummins and get a map sensor(boost sensor they call it) and installed it. but it dont think thats my problem. my comp box has been locking up and called edge, they are going to update the software in the box to a version 8. 0 from a 7. 0. and says the comp can set those codes if it screws up. so off it went to utah. ill get it back mid next week and no charge. im also going to solder the pump wire on as well, just to eliminate a future problem there.

so we will see... but i hate it without the box, it really is a turd. lol

The boxes are fairly reliable for the most part, but there is always that chance, hopefully the wait is worth it, yeah they are pretty sluggish without the box in them, sucks!! Good luck though.

Did the box end up being the problem?

My light went off the other day. I ordered the obd-2 cable & got it today. I checked the codes & had P0237 too. I have no box, I'm stock here.

Thanks,

Erik

yes. . seems that way. i called egde and the asked a few q's and i told them what was going on. i payed shipping to them and they fixed it and updated the version of software in it.

great customer service A++++

u have to hand it to those guys, they have there stuff together.

they sent me a brand new box and harness. so i swapped it all.

no problems with the CEL light. just a darm abs light now and dont think it has to do with the box.

I'll second that

I have to put in my $. 02 worth in on Edge's customer service. I sent my EZ in about a 10 days ago to be checked,, well I was thinking about upgrading anyway to a comp, so I sent them an email... . no prob. Ordered the comp last Fri. , should have been here Thursday or Fri this week. Well I called yesterday to check on order status/delivery date,, the guy said it was on back order. Well I got an email from the salesman that upgraded me, said there was a mix up in shipping... . box would be shipped asap (Wednesday) over-night, so I got it today(Thursday). The build date on the box is 4/06/05... so it came right off the line and went to shipping more or less. Great bunch of people I must say. My hat is off to them!! Need more vendor's like that. :):)

I agree, Edge is awesome. FWIW, I had the same problem with the 0237 code and had it cleared and then cleaned the sensor. A week or so later the code came back so I got a new sensor from Cummins and put it in and about a week later the code set again. I have also had intermitent stumbling under acceleration once boost gets over about 18-20 psi. It is more evident once the TC locks up because that takes the fluid "cushioning" out of it. When it happens, the whole truck will buck and you can see the boost gauge and FP gauge responing with extreme fluttering. Being that it does not happen all of the time and taking into consideration that I've changed just about everything under the hood of this thing, I have come to the conclusion that there is some type of short or continuity problem in the wiring harness. I'm in the process right now of trying to find another harness to swap out in the truck. I hope that this will solve the code problems and the shuddering.
