Anybody have a Montana with a generator

I have just recently started researching wether I need commercial or apportioned plates. I downloaded the information from the Massachusetts RMV and it all seems fairly gray to say the least. The information they have regarding who should be apportioned allows me to stay with commercial plates. Basically, under 26'000#'s with only two axles on the power unit. So while it does appear to be an option for me and not a requirement I'm wondering what the pro's and con's are to going with apportion-

ed plates versus staying with commercial. I'd really like to hear from any of you with some experience with this. Thanks!

:)

You can have more trailers than trucks and save money by paying the taxes for trucks without paying any weight taxes on trailers. For one and one operation normally it makes more sense to pay on the truck and trailer.

In Oregon, no one needs commercial or apportioned plates. They do not bother you with just car plates under 26,000# which are about $25 per year!

Good luck on your choice as every state is different, I would buy a temporary at the point of entry if they really look at it
