Twins Idea

New hoses from Mr. Bob

We have everything in stock for a 3G truck. The 2G downpipe is still being made. It takes a custom flange that was just finished. We should have the first 25 downpipes in about a week.

What is the max safe boost this turbo can support? You had mentioned it will flow like a H2E, so like 1,000 cfm or so?

From the DD website: "A 4" exhaust system and AFE airbox kit are required. " Does this mean the scotty II will not work with the BB turbo?

Keith, how many different air filter setups did you test? and did you test it with no filter as well? I remember seeing some specs and tests that showed the relatively high level of filtering with a BHAF paper element. If there's a better alternative, I'd like to hear some results.

The testing we did was based on HP, not filtration or airflow. We tested the BHAF (which scored the worst HP, BTW), the K&N, AFE, RE-0880 (original Scotty airbox), all on a 600hp 12v. The AFE won. Beat the BHAF by 9hp, the others by less - but that's what we decided to carry - AFE.

Just to further this, I believe Joe also told me that nothing was gained over the factory airbox until the 350hp mark. I could have the hp level wrong, not sure. He said the Scotty II wasnt tested.

I wonder about the hp difference between the BHAF and the factory unit at closer to stock hp levels?

So Keith, what is the name that is gonna be given to this new turbo?

My suggestions:

DD Jammer II (Or Edge Jammer II, since edge is on the turbo)

Jammer BB

Or how bout something like DD Evolution? Edge Evolution?

Probably right on that, I have tried to pull my minder down with my C3. 1 all the way up and also made some runs with a Ramifier turned all the way up and still no pull down and I haven't even drilled it yet. What ever turbo/s I go with I will do my best to stick with paper filtration.

A single with a BHAF looks more doable at the moment vs twins and is why I am listing in on this thread.

The BHAF is like $35 and the AFE was around $50... ... ... and it's cleanable... ... I'd go with the AFE.

Jim

The AFE we are talking about is the replacement box, not the drop in.

For stock to 325-350hp, stock filter/box is ok. As soon as you switch to a bigger turbo (or you should switch), step up to the open box and big filter.

Keith, is the DD website EVER going to get updated?

There's no info on the new goodies that I could find. Nothing even on Jammers for 2nd gens:confused:

I can offer up the Scotty II for testing as it always seems like nobody does that nor do they use the current version. Justin, Edge on the turbo?

;)

Probably not too much too soon. The new stuff is listed on the specials page. Everything we offer is on the orderform page. If you need info, call.

I found the Jammer for the second gen on the page. And, on the homepage, if you click on new products, it will tell you about the new items available. I believe the Jammer BB (DD Jammer BB!) was on there.
