POLL: What to do about the Drug problem?

Louisiana has Drive up liquor stores. You can get a beer, frozen margarita, or a 32oz Crown and 7Oo. .

That strange thing is that the cities that have these drive though places also have open container laws. The stands simply put a piece of tape over the lid so that the straw hole is covered and now it isn't an open container.

Strange rules.

And to answer the question, I like a cold beer whenever I feel like it. :D

Hey Doc, you never said a truer word..... check out this story recently reported in the New York Times.

A man is on trial for castrating the mayor of a remote Texas town in a vicious knife attack following a dispute over a bottle of beer. Few residents of Lajitas, in West Texas, see it as any sort of mitigation of the alleged crime that the victim is an alcoholic goat.

Police said they found a testicle belonging to Mayor Clay Henry III in Jim Bob Hargrove's refrigerator, and plan to introduce it in evidence when Hargrove goes on trial later this month. Clay Henry - the third goat to be elected mayor of Lajitas - is a much-loved local icon. He won office two years ago, beating rival candidates including a wooden Indian and a dog called Clyde.

He works 24 hours a day from an office by the town's trading post, where a plaque indicates that he is amenable to bribes. These usually take the form of beer - a tradition that began with his predecessor, the original Clay Henry, who held office during the 1980s and early 1990s. It died aged 23 in a fight over a nanny goat, and is now on display, stuffed, with a beer bottle in his mouth.

Clay Henry III, like any good Texan, favours the Lone Star brand. Hargrove is alleged to have taken offence last November when, whilst he was sitting drinking near the mayor's office, a man borrowed a beer from him to give it to the mayor. Considering it a waste of beer, Hargrove is said to have vowed to geld the mayor in revenge. The Brewster County Sheriff, Ronny Dodson, told the New York Times that Hargrove could face jail. "Clay Henry is an icon of our community. " The mayor is reported to be recovering well from his injuries.
