Do not notice any difference between it and the stock unit as far as cold weather ops. Still smooth as silk.

Well it's now a few months past 3 years since I installed the fulidampr and figured I'd just make note it's still working out great. Good old "Made in USA"!!!

Waiting for my Fluidamper to arrive. Talked to one of the technical people, from the Company, Ivan. A very helpful chap. He recommended that I purchase new bolts for the new installation.

The specs he gave me were:
1. Minimum grade, 12. 9 or better
2. 12 point bolt
3. Size, M12 X 1. 25 pitch X 36mm long

Tried calling a local nut and bolt Company, but could not meat the "Specs".
Ended up going to Dodge dealership, and with 20% off they were still $7. 00 each !!! (Walked out funny after payment !)

In any case, the correct part number for the 4 bolts are : 04429857
A 15mm socket will be needed.

It's going on a 2001, 4X4, with auto trans.
So, can anybody give me some pointers on installation ?
How do you stop the engine from rolling over, when you apply 92 ft. lbs on each bolt ?
Can you get by, by not taking off the fan, or shroud ?
Thanks,

Peter

Got mine and installed it a couple weeks ago on my '98. 5 Automatic. Normal driving I couldn't tell any difference in sound or vibration, it did feel slightly different but not able to describe. However above 2500 RPM all the way to redline it is markedly smoother, much of the thrashyness associated with winding up a diesel is greatly reduced, doesn't feel strained rolling along at 2800 RPM.

I reused my bolts, carefully torqued to 92 ft lbs, but I should probably get new ones.
