The Night before Christmas

Like "rolling coal" ??

a friend of mine has a 03 quad cab 4x4 dually. He was at a stop light in Denver around midnight and had some punks pull up next to him in a little car. The guy on the passenger side, starts talkin trash to my friend :-{} , who, in no kind way returns the words. they move on to the next light and the guy continues to run his trap. Not one to take stuff off of others, my friend flips his lit cigarrate into the guys eye (great shot if you ask me) as the light goes green the car drifts behind the Dodge and my friend starts hearing the popping of a pistol  . He does some evasive manuevering... and then the car driver made his mistake. He decided to pass the dodge and take some shots through the windshield  . My buddy lets 'em gain some distance than hits them (or Ram's them i guess would be more apropriate) at just over 60 mph. Needless to say the car did some pretty cool spinning manuevers all the way to it's final resting place in the ditch. :D They never did get their shots off into the windshield and only managed to land one bullet in the tailgate. I guess he doesn't really need any of those sticker bullet holes now :-laf

And I would hope these "kids" got their bodies bloodied by the hands of your friend, and then promptly placed in jail for some more "pounding" ?

I think if I would get shot at from behind, I would just lock up all 4 tires and get rear ended. But then again, the ideas of letting the other car get in front and pushing it into a spin sounds just as productive and not only disabling the car, but some passengers long enough to disarm and secure.

Don`t know if this qualifies for a true "Smoke Story" but... I`m coming home from work today, come to a red light. I`m in the right lane and there`s a nice looking 3rd gen/3500 SRW in the left lane. I`m ck`in his ride out, purty nice, has nice wheels, big ole tail pipe etc. I DID`NT notice the ferrd 6-leaker pull up behind me @ the light. Light turns green and motor off, I catch the 3rd genners turn signal out of the corner of my eye, he wants the right lane and "mr. 6leaker" is sorta blocking him. Well i figured I`d make the guy some room to get behind me... Honest it was a small puff of coal. Well Mr 6leaker figures "he`ll show me" and proceeds to cut off the 3rd gen so he can move to the left lane and go wheezing past me... some people. I guess being around 2 Cummins`es (or would that be Cummi ??) was too much for him, I got a good chuckle out of it tho.

whats with the guns!?

What is up with retards these days. Why are they getting to upset over a non-money random street race? Yeah, it's bad for anything that looses to a 7000# diesel truck, but come on now. There is no need to pull a gun.

I would of called the police and reported that he was flashing a weapon tho. That's just not cool.

retards. I hope darwin wins with these morons.

he was just one of those kids, just like in third grade that wants to be cool and get some attention. i told the chick if we are ever really threatened get down and i would have turned that focus into a tuna can. speaking of, time to start building my bumper...

I AGREE 100% on all counts!

Great smoke stories

You are right! You smoked him good. Seems sort of wierd to me that one would risk being shot, arrested or wrecked over illegal racing and smoking someone.

I dont think that was his intention... If someone is tailgating me (or attempting to race me), I will let a warning puff out, and if they persist I will give'er all shes got...

I have never really considered that taking a risk of being shot or arrested... I do however understand the risk of getting a ticket, and I am OK with that risk

SURRENDER YOUR SMOKE IMMEDIATELY THE TDR SMOKE POLICE HAVE YOU UNDER ARREST!! :-laf

you gotta love black smoke a buddy of mine bought an 02 camaro ls 1 sixspeed with t tops i belive it is a z28 but he challenged me for a race i could not turn down.

we went to a long road and waited for the lights to go green i was in 4 hi in second gear and 2900 rpms and did the tractor pulling launch soot went everywhere incuding in his camaros leather interior but it is hard to beat a 4 wheel launch i had 2 car lenghts off the bat and we went a little over a quarter mile and i had 2 to 3 trucklenghts on him and he was not catching up.

when we got back all his freinds where making fun of him because they saw him lose a drag race with a 6800 pound smoke belching land behemoth.

to this day he tells me he gets nervious when he is at a red light next to a diesel pickup in his camaro.

Being mostly stock I don't do much more than some haze but i have to talk about a guy today.

I was at a light getting some dirty looks from the guy in the right lane. I don't know what his problem was but we both floored it off the line and the look on his face when he heard the turbo spooling was awesome but the look on his face when that wastgate popped was truely priceless.

I thought he was going to run off the right side of the road.

I suppose this could be a different thread but...

There can't be tooooo many different ways. .

All time FAVORITE reactions to a cloud of soot!

1. Fans hand in front of face, then turns wippers on to see if that helps.

2. Drives off side of road, around the cloud.

hahaha, I had a guy not only do that, But pinched his nose and pointed at me...

I was like "Who??, ME?!?!" :-laf

nothing like the good ol classic flip you off through the smoke! i had a granola crunching yuppie behind me today in his infinity G35 get all wounded because i was blowing little puffs, well he finally gets around me and gives me a look like ill show you who is boss! it was hilarious, needless to say he wasnt happy about the results of his infinitys performance come green light time :-laf

i was drivin along minding my own business last night bout 11 when a harley pulls out next to me and punches it (its very noticeable if its a harley or a straight piped cummins) so of course i do too, well i was on level three so i just about level out with him and turn it into a race. . well we come to a light (these powerslots are nice by the way) and he says "yea looked like you had your rpms about limited out there", i said yea i did  . so he says "well you know that things just a diesel, a bag a bolts" funny thing is, he was serious. now i gotta teach him a lesson. . so i turn it up to 7 and literally wave as the other light turns red (stupid lag) and punch it, that was great i just plain left him!! well i slow down at about 70ish, to go through an S turn and he catches up and gives me a head nod as i tore off again uncontested this time.

got me another kill this morning, every morning i had been seeing this dakota R/T dropped, loud and covered in stickers and what not driving to work, but he had never tried anything, i had been waiting and waiting, getting impatient, just like in high school with that one cheerleader... nevermind... . until this morning that is. we were cruising along, and like moses and the red sea traffic was nil ahead of us, so we both punch it, of course for those of you who know my Jammer BB is a laggy pig so he pulls a legnth on me right away but i got it back and then some by the next light, i was actually pretty proud of this one, it was great the look of him in his driver door mirror as i was pulling up and ahead... :(

It's not really a smoke story, but more of a performance story, but here it is anyway. I'm going up Parley's Canyon EB on I-80. EB isn't really steep, it's just really long. In my old 454 gasser, if i lost any RPM's i was done for... maybe would make the summit at 40-45... anyway... First trip up with the new CTD, I'm in the middle lane in 6th doing about 72 running empty. As I'm about to pass a guy pulling a travel trailer, decides its time to pass the semi in front of him. He didn't really cut me off, but i had to significantly slow down as i couldn't get over to the left as there was a line of traffic there. The last car in the line is a Porche Boxster convertible. I jump in behind (without a downshift) and I'm able to pull up on his rear bumper and hold it! I was loving it, but the best part was when the Porshe guy did a double take in the rear view mirror because l'm sure all he could see was Ram grille! I don't think he expected to see my truck anywhere near him. Loved it!

I was out on US 50 last evening test driving my truck with the newly installed FASS system and from behind comes two cars, must have been racing each other or something. One was an Oldsmobile? Aurora, and the other was a newer looking style Ford car, didn't catch the model. They were swerving thru traffic, and cutting everyone off. I got real close to the car in front of me to keep them stuck beside me. Eventually they got by, and off they went riping thru traffic again. About 2 lights down, I noticed it going red, and not many cars between us, and then I heard a distinct Cummins grunting sound. Fortunately I had been able to catch up, and pass the two crazy drivers, and ride along side the Red and black ram that I had just heard. At the light a few blocks from my house, I was the first one in the right lane, and the red and black ram was the first one in the left lane, the two cars were directly behind us. I reved, and so did the red and black Ram. we both took off with a huge cloud of smoke following us. Multi tasking, big smoke-out on two very deserving cars, and a little fun with a fellow Cummins owner. A good run, but he ended up being behind a car that turned onto his lane just before our light turned green. Needless to say you couldn't see thru the black to see the expression on the cars faces. Bonus!!! as I turn onto my street, a white ford flowerpoke with smaller turnout stacks blipped the smoke maker to show his approval and add to the smoke show, at least as much as he could muster up.
