that sounds like a pretty good deal.

Now lets get back to the criminal minds working together to screw Kali out of yalls hard earned money.

I saw a post about a dealer in LV that is giving the same or better deal then the ones in Oregon. Just wondering if anyone talked to them.

I'm sending Brent Stark a fax of my ongoing deal with Eric today I will notify you when I get a return. I am dealing with two of the largest US dealers Autonation and Lithia so I may be able to get them down to $2,000. 00 below and if not I will take the truck that I have allready ordered. Rick

I just faxed him the deal that I recived in Oregon and then called him. He's going over the deal now and I will have an answer for you tonight. Rick

Well I got the word from Brent at desert dodge tonight He will match the deal I got with Eric at lithia but wont go any lower so i guess you can deal with who you want. I will stay with Eric in Oregon. Rick

sales tax

Personally I would love to skirt the system and avoid a sales tax on any purchase. It just seems that it would not be worth the possible trouble that could follow. The California Board of Equalization http://www.boe.ca.gov/ has decided to add a line to everyone's state tax return, its called the "Use Tax" Apparently, any item purchased outside of the state of California that will be used or stored here should have a use tax paid on it that is equal to what would have been paid as a sales tax if the item was purchased in California. They want everyone to add up all of their out of state purchases for the course of the year and calculate the sales tax that should have been paid and then pay it as a use tax on their state income tax returns. I guess its just another way to squeeze us dry... ::-{}

Holy $#@% that's crazy. Glad I bought everything I own IN CA. :-laf Man this is just another reason to get out of this state. I've been looking in Oregon and there sure does seem to be a lot less of these nonsense laws.

Thats Nuts, I think everyone who lives near California should drive their and steal something from the state. A guard rail or maybe just vadalize something. Kali has got it coming.

Bought mine in the lovely (but flat) state of South Carolina(travelling for work), I was living in VA at the time, they registered if for me in VA, I tried to get them to register in CA but CA said no, not unless it was smog exempt(don't ask).

I registered mine in CA, Aug of 03, $393, of course it was over 1 year old and had over 7500 miles on it. It didn't have CA emissions(whatever that is). No problem.

Of course when I left CA, in 99' for Alaska, I never changed my DL, so I've been driving in many states for the last 4 years on my CA licence of course I was never stopped, well once in BC, but he was cool and let me off, and of course he didn't care about the license. And he didn't search my truck, that would have been bad.

ps. I do know of one lady that irritated the wrong people, they(her co-workers) turned her in, cost her about a $1200 fine and she had to register and such.

Can I cancel an order?

I ordered my truck on Saturday from Lithia in Eugene Oregon. I live in SoCal. Apparently a deal has been worked out for the same prices from Desert Dodge in Las Vegas.

Here's my dilemma. It's gonna cost my wife and I $500. 00 to fly to Eugene to get the truck, and then it's 14 HOURS to drive it back home.

To get the truck in Vegas, We can fly for $39. 00 each and the drive is only about 5 hours back. Heck we could even spend a night on the town!

Obviously the Vegas thing would be MUCH better, but I don't want to burn Eric Todd in Oregon.

Feedback?

thanks

Brian

Did Eric require a non-refundable deposit from you? Just started talking with them yesterday, hoping to place my order tomorrow. He's really been on top of his job, and is working hard to get my order in ASAP (I like the way they're doing business). Obviously if your deposit is refundable, then Vegas sounds a lot easier. He told me non-refundable deposit at time of order.

I've made the drive many times - it's beautiful until you hit Central California - and I'm really looking forward to spending that drive time in my new truck. Personally I feel that if the price is the same, I want to close the deal with the guy that I started it with - call it integrity - because these guys aren't trying to cheat or steal anything from us.

I say buy it in Oregon. i have made both drives and trust me, the drive back from vegas may be shorter but there is about 4 hours of NOTHING! The drive down I-5 from Oregon is sooo much nicer. Did you think to ask the guy in Eugene if he could have the truck delivered to the Lithia in Medford??????????? It is the same dealership and only 30 miles from the Oregon California Border. Even lithia Grants Pass. That is where I bought my truck. Just my 2 cents worth. Eugene is another 150 miles north of Medford. Think about it. Same Dealer, Same truck, Same price. On that note, You could most likely even buy from the guy in Eugene and take delivery of it at Lithia Sacramento or LA. They are all over Calif and Oregon... Comments?

I called desert dodge today about that 1,000 deal and they never returned my call. Has anyone ordered a truck from them and got that deal?

That would be the perfect deal, to buy from Eugene and pick it up in LA , atleast for me

I asked and was told that the Lethia group only drop ships large fleet orders not individual orders. The Las Vegas store is a pain to make contact with on the phone it's not easy getting hold of someone there. Kind of makes me think what type of service that stores has.

Yahoo! I ordered from Eric last Friday night. He placed the order Saturday. I called DC today and I've already got a VIN and a ship date of 3/1!!!!!!! It went to D1 in less then a week.

I was a little scared because of the 3500 4x4 QC order hold thread but I guess I just slipped in.

Belly, I left you a voice mail. You should have a VIN and date too.

Time to start shoppin' for a new hoss trailer and bed liner.

"WOW" THATS GOOOD NEWS Oo. Oo. :D Oo.

Edit: Understand the enthusiasm, but I took out a few extra letters. ;)
