Help!
Truck is a 92 W250 auto with 134k on the odo.
It is my wifes daily driver and yesterday I get a call that it died on here and she needs a tow. So we tow it home with the '01.
She said on the morning drive about a mile before work, it kinda shuddered briefly, then ran fine as usual. After work, it started fine but then just died as is someone had turned off the engine. As she was coasting off the road she got it to fire a little, but only for a second or two. It made no unusual noises when it died.
After towing it home, I replaced the fuel filter. I cracked the low pressure bleed after the filter and there is fuel there. I cracked an injector line and there is some fuel there, but not what I would expect. With a brief squirt in the intake, the engine will run for a second with no unusual noises. When cranking the engine with the starter, it seems to spin faster than normal and makes no attempt at starting.
What should I be looking for and testing at this point? I am no diesel mechanic but I can muddle my way through anything I choose to tackle.
Thanks!!
